The rooms were clean however the lighting was horrible. One of our lamps had no switch so we couldn’t use it. The vintage ascetic was pretty cool. The elevators were a bit slow but wasn’t a huge deal. It was affordable. The parking is $25 a night which is absolutely ridiculous. We parked there for one night then went elsewhere because we refused to pay that much per night for parking. The Claridge is connected to Bally’s so you have access to the casino which is a plus. They do have a heated pool but we did not get to use it unfortunately. All in all I would stay again. It was worth the money.

Generally, I felt like the staff didn’t care and there were very many people around to help. The telephone in our room never worked all around. It felt kind of junk. Must’ve been a beautiful hotel with lots going on at some point many years ago.

Understanding the hotel is an old property it definitely has a lot of opportunities for repair. The AC in our room did not work at all, the room was a constant 80 degrees even throughout the night. You could not sit on the sides or ends of the bed without it completely collapsing in. The rooftop restaurant was lovely however we were there on a Saturday evening for happy hour and there was only one cook so wait times for food were over 35 minutes. Perhaps they planned for more cooks and something happened. Also the elevator to get to the rooftop was broken so we had to walk up a few flights of stairs to get there. Overall the property is need of updating and some repairs as it is pretty banged up.

I recently stayed at The Claridge Hotel and had a bit of a mixed experience. On the bright side, the location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from the boardwalk and close to many attractions, shops, and restaurants. It’s an ideal spot if you want to be in the heart of the action in Atlantic City. The hotel amenities overall were solid. The lobby was inviting, and some of the common areas still reflect that old-school charm The Claridge is known for. However, the room I stayed in left much to be desired. Unfortunately, it was not very clean or well-maintained. I found a piece of candy stuck to the carpet by the bed, which was unsettling. The sheets were stained, and the TV in the room had a visible crack, which made it nearly unusable. The furniture and decor felt outdated, and overall, the room did not meet expectations in terms of cleanliness or comfort. With a bit more attention to upkeep and cleanliness in the rooms, The Claridge could easily be a top-tier choice given its prime location and solid amenities. I’d consider staying again if the rooms are renovated, but for now, I’d recommend dining at The VÜE and enjoying the hotel’s location while possibly exploring other options for accommodations.

We had no telephone nor iron in our room upon arrival. It was only one washcloth in our bedroom. Come to find out after we requested an iron and tried to use it, it didn’t work…Not a good experience for us!
