“We rented the Loon Lodge over the Labor Day weekend to celebrate my husband's first days of retirement. Loon Lodge is an adorable 658 sqft cottage but the open layout doesn't feel small at all, and the best part is that it's pet friendly! It is tastefully decorated with the bedroom and bathroom seems to have been recently updated. The screened in porch gave us spectacular sunset views each evening. The location is awesome, we spent time in Tawas City, East Tawas and Oscoda. The area is very……

“If you are looking for a house on the beach, this house is it! Lake Huron is literally in the backyard. Stunning views from the large windows in very spacious living room and dining area. After spending the day at the beach we spent our evenings on the back patio and bonfire area taking in the views of the lake. Both matresses on the on pull out couch and bedroom were really comfy. House was very clean. We had no issues or complaints at all! We had such an amazing stay during our trip. We will……

“Great property and location. Peaceful and quiet...but plenty to do if you enjoy local beaches and landmarks. Oscoda has some nice restuarants and great beaches...and lots of cool sites just south in Tawas. Able to cook dinner and enjoy the deck over-looking the river. Wish we would have brought some kayaks or canoes!!”

“The property is within 100 yards of the water. There are 2 fire-pits and seating by a clean sandy beach. The cabin is very comfortable and upgraded to a modern look and feel.”

“Stayed here as opposed to a motel while visiting family in the area. Neighborhood is within lake front / lake view properties. Updated flooring and cabinets, and everything very clean. Charming little cottage type house. ”

“We liked that it was practical and felt like a home away from home. Some cabins feel like they’re trying to be hotels and that’s fine, but this felt more like a quiet, simplified home. The layout was practical and there were places to hang towels. It made good use of the available space. It’s located away from the busy street and between Tawas and Oscoda, making for a shorter drive to both places. Our only downside was the beds were small (they are listed as double — so I just thought in my head……

“The cottage was well stocked with basic items and then some. The coffee bar had a variety to choose from. The beds were all comfortable and the living space was perfectly sized. My girls loved hanging out in the loft. The location makes you feel like you are secluded but town is just a short drive away. Everything was smooth and easy. I would highly recommend this cottage for a stay in Tawas. ”

“I love this house. This was our second stay. It’s beautiful and quiet, with enough comfy beds and bedrooms to give everyone some privacy and rest. I love watching the lake in the morning. It’s magical. The street is friendly, a nice place to walk. It’s close to town. The kitchen is stocked, clean and easy. The water is nice and hot, and we like having the two full bathrooms. You will love the windows, view of the lake, and places to do puzzles and read. It’s a cabin that invites you to cuddle……
