First time in Herald island
Accommodation and amenities as described. However, I was expecting a machine dryer, but it was actually drying rack for clothes, so something to think about when planning your washing. Just noting, elderly parents found armchairs too low for comfortable seating, also a tripping hazard of step between dining area to rest of living area, it tripped us up a few times, till we got used to it. Sarah was quick to respond to any issues and was very helpful. We relaxed and chilled out here for a couple of days, the direct view of the water is exactly like the photo. Location wise, is ideal for chilling out. A full circuit of island is only 15-20mins walk. There are a couple of playgrounds, and the wharf are all within walking distance. I can't remember if there were any shops, because we didn't need anything, but if not, the closest dairy is probably in Whenuapai.
