This lodge was absolutely stunning! It had so many amenities and was close to the river. It was a super relaxing and beautiful location & lodge. The pictures of the lodge and land does not do the property justice! 10/10 I would recommend anyone to stay here. My husband and I are already thinking to come back and hopefully stay longer than this visit.

Beautiful remote retreat

We truly enjoyed our stay last week. Hosts were very responsive, home was clean and easy to find things, the property is beautiful and allowed us an opportunity to fully “unplug” for the week. Note for future renters, there is 5 miles of dirt road leading to the property, if you’re towing a trailer/boat expect everything to be sufficiently dusted! The only thing that didn’t exceed our expectations was there was no pond access from the property. Combination of low water level (August) and beaver activity prohibited us from being able to paddle out to the pond directly from the property which was a bummer. Otherwise we had a fantastic week and would recommend hands down if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.

The lodge was beautiful! Such a peaceful, quiet getaway. We saw so much wildlife, and thoroughly enjoyed being disconnected for a few days. The lodge has everything you need.... just make sure to bring the food you'll need for your stay. There are a few country stores within 15-30 minutes, but no grocery stores. My kids loved kayaking, fishing, making smores, and laying in the hammock. We made several say trips to Acadia, and also found some hiking trails nearby. We hope to return soon!

Truly a dream!

Stop looking! This is the place you want to be! The pictures are accurate and the reviews are true. This is a slice of heaven on earth. This location is the perfect balance of off grid and accessible. We arrived for our honeymoon and were mind blown at how accommodating and thoughtful the owners are. They have all the pots and pans, seasonings, and basic condiments you need. Bar harbor and Bangor were perfect day trips and didnt feel like a trek to get to. We took a drive one day and randomly hiked part of Acadia in our crocs simply because we could. They had the fire pit stocked and ready to go- we just had to light the kindle. They even had the s’mores sticks by the campfire ready to go. This isn’t just another vrbo- these people love their home, their community and love providing a positive experience for others. We loved it so much we’d love to find some property in the area in the future. Whatever it is you’re looking for I guarantee this is the place you want and need!

Perfect Little Maine Getaway!

Perfect, secluded area with beautiful views! It has a lovely trail going down the beach/water area. Beds were very comfy and the place was very clean. Loved it!

Maine Experience

Time to relax and enjoy nature and quiet. Every modern convenience you could want and the kitchen and really nice grill outside was great. So enjoyed our stay at Rivah Lodge.

Perfect get away!

Amazing place to re-boot. The cabin is clean and very well stocked. You rarely hear anything other than the sound of nature. Kimberly was amazing in any question we had , responding immediately. Bring you your food and stay put here to relax, reboot and re-energize here. We will be back for more than 3 nights next time. Easy drive from Bangor airport. Best vrbo experience ever.

Maryland to Maine

Cabin was better than expected. This cabin is exactly what I’m looking for when I relocate to Maine in my retirement. Beautiful location just far enough off the grid to relax from the daily grind. Kimberly was very responsive. My only regret was not meeting the Murphy’s. Seems like our styles match.

Amazing get away!

Totally private and cozy get away! The kids loved the oversized bean bag in the little time we were in the cabin. The rest was spent in the peace and tranquility of the outdoors at the cabin fishing, canoeing, kayaking to get a stuck bobber and playing games in the driveway. The boat landing not far down the road gave the kids a great place to swim and pick clams! Looking forward to our next stay!

A perfect piece of paradise.

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is quiet, beautiful and has all the comforts of home. The beds were so soft and cozy. The furnishings both inside and out were plentiful and comfortable. We kayaked, canoed and went fishing. We stayed for a full week and loved every second of it.

Peaceful Cabin

We loved our time spent at this peaceful cabin. Being able to access the water with the canoe and kayak was perfect. My teenage son was excited about this and the fishing. We enjoyed grilling out dinner on the grill and then having dinner on the patio. And the bonfire pit was perfection. This cabin has every single item you would need at a rental property. From the cabin we were able to visit Acadia and Bar Harbor, yet be able to come back to a peaceful setting.

Amazung Cabin on the Lake!

The property was just as advertised. The cabin is on a beautiful property with all the amenities you need. The host were amazing and made sure we made it safely to the property on the first night as it was late and made sure we had eveything we needed. We only spent a weekend there but plan to spend a full week next time! Also seeing a moose on the road to the cabin one night was a major plus!

Beautiful camp

I've stayed in a lot of cabins and camps in Maine and this is one of my favorites. Every luxury plus some. The beds are amazing. Every cooking utensil and cookware you would ever want. Very peaceful. Every review of this camp is spot on. I'll be returning next year. Im glad I reserved another date in August.

Hidden Gem

We had a very pleasant stay. The Murphys were exactly what you want in a host. They were very helpful. The ATV trails are right at the end of the driveway. The cabin was extremely comfortable. The woodstove really made the difference after riding in a cold rain all day. Everything was well stocked. Id give 6 stars if I was able to.
