Overall, the stay was OK. The place is clean. The bar & lobby area was nice.
As a member, I was offered an upgrade to a corner King room (instead of 2 queens) to which the receptionist said "it's a suite". So I expected a suite, meaning there is a separate seating area. Turns out this wasn't the case. It's a room with a small long chair right next to the bed. There is a door between the bed area and the bathroom area, that's it.
The pool was cloudy; it didn't look dirty like there was trash, but the water was cloudy. The pool bar (Zanzibar) was OK; food and drinks were good but it was hard to find the server. We ordered room service (brunch) the next day. I expected it to be on real china (plates and silverware), but our brunch was packed in styrofoam containers and drinks in plastic cups, all carried to us in a paper bag (with 1 set of plasticware when I specified there were 2 people). I mean, I could have just walked downstairs and picked up the food myself and spared us the service charge tips.
Valet was the only parking option for $65/day. Upon our departure, we texted the number to request for our car as usual. 30 minutes went by (we just assumed they were busy) and still no car. The valet desk didn't know about our request when we asked (showed the text message), saying their system has been acting up all morning. The receptionist mentioned nothing when we checked out.
