“We stayed in the apartment which is a separate building and just like a 2 bedroom house. Very clean, warm, well equipped and very comfortable bed. Parking is just outside and a 30 second walk to the main hotel where we had a great breakfast each day. The views are fantastic - across the river to the vineyards on the hillside and so peaceful. “Gorgeous setting! Beautiful home and wonderful hosts. The wine tour by Paul was amazing. Philippa and Paul were very communicative and accommodating ! Only one comment- this is very beautiful and very remote. Closest supermarket 40 min away and the long and winding single lane roads to the home may be very intimidating to some. Should not drive these roads after dark. But for us it was worth it. ”

“The property is very unique, special. Located directly on the Douro river with incredible views. The house was welcoming, comfortable and clean. The food cooked for us was always in abundance and delicious. They, Elena and Claudia, looked after our needs (dining, drinks, laundry, etc) very well and kindly. “This place is great. Right in the center of the town, close to stores, the market, garden, swimming pool, dinning options. The place is spacious with lots of natural light. Very comfortable bed and couch. The kitchen is well equiped. It's quiet despite being downtown. The TV wasnt quite working but it was alright, i didn't need it. There is wifi. ”

“Spacious apartment with everything we needed for our brief stay. The entrance is a short walk up a cobblestone path, and the parking is tricky to find with Google Maps. The hose met us at the parking lot and walked us to the door. He offered a brief tour of the property which was helpful. There is a mini-split in each room and the downstairs kitchen/living room so the unit was very comfortable. When we visit the area again, we will look to stay here.”
