"A great little older beach motel. Easy walk to the beach near the back of the property and restaurants within walking distance too. The village is small and mostly residential, yet there is a Food Lion and several restaurants and shops within a mile or so."

Great stay at the Misty Mermaid!
"We had a wonderful stay at the Misty Mermaid- it was beautiful and clean…lots of space and all we needed. Short walk to the beach and great views from the multiple balconies. We would definitely stay again! Also great communication with owner!"

Great Place to Stay!
"This was the first time we stayed in Avon versus Duck or Corolla. We will never go back north! Avon was great! The home is a quick 7 minute walk to the Avon Pier and beach. There are restaurants and shops in walking distance of the house. There is even a farmer's market during the summer on Tuesdays ..."
