“Perfect spot, great house!”

“This house was everything I hoped for. It was so well thought out, small, but charming and completely appointed with everything you need. Clean, cute, comfortable. And the host is so quick to respond anytime we had a question. We definitely want to return. We were there 4 days and did not even get to do all of the things we would like to. The horses came by almost every day. I would recommend this Cozy cottage off the beaten path anytime to anyone.”

“I stayed here for the weekend with my mom and older sister for a family reunion. The place was better than what we expected. Nice secluded area. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. “This was a great spot for the 2 of us and our dog. You truly cannot beat how close to the ocean you are. Enjoyed the proximity to the beach the best. A lot of sand gets tracked in because it is on ground level. We had a broom but no dish pan so we just used paper plates to try and clean everything up. Kitchen was fine, nice fridge and everything worked. The only downfall was that there was not an outdoor shower! If you decide to stay here, bring a 5 gallon bucket to fill up with to try and wash……

“My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here! We enjoyed playing games on the red table, listening to records on the turntable, and grilling out on the patio. The host provided beach chairs and an umbrella which we were very thankful for. Would absolutely return, this place is a gem in OBX!”

“I first saw the Foxhole #3 on previous visits to Kitty Hawk with friends. As we passed by the house, I would often say that it looked like a great place to stay at the beach. Years later, I have now stayed there and I was not wrong. It was great! Cozy, quiet and you can't get closer to the beach. I counted 100 steps from the back step to water's edge.”

“Exactly as advertised. Simple, no-frills, pet friendly beach house in a very nice neighborhood. When we arrived the water had been turned off (for the winter?). We messaged the host and she had the water co there in 30 mins! Great host, very responsive. Big TV. Stack W/D is great to have. Everything works. We spent 5 nights and would stay there again for sure.”

“We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this cozy cottage in Kitty Hawk! From the moment we stepped inside, we were impressed by how clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully decorated everything was. It had that perfect mix of beachy charm and modern comfort that made us feel instantly relaxed.The location couldn’t be better—just a short stroll to the beach, where we spent our days soaking up the sun and our evenings hunting for sand crabs (a huge hit with the kids!). “Outstanding property. Host communication was excellent and the location was excellent. Everything was extremely clean, kitchen was well stocked with essentials, and pool/beach supplies were available for guest use. Literally a couple of minutes walk away from the public beach, and a parking permit is provided if you prefer to drive.”

Very last minute as our rental home was booked.. even more last minute ours canceled and Josie was gracious enough to allow our friends to stay there in lieu of us. “The house was wonderful. We dont travel often because I am super nervous about accommodations being clean. This house was exceptionally clean. I was very pleased. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen for our week long stay. We loved that there was beach chairs and an umbrella for our use. Beds were comfortable. We saw some horses in the yard but over all we only saw about 10 the entire week. We were hoping the baby turtles were going to make their appearance while we were there but……
