“Best views in all of Bermuda! If you love history, this home is full of it! Perfect quaint place with a living room, small kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, and hot plates to cook with pots and pans.l with utensils. Only minor thing is that being on top of the hill, you catch a lot of wind that shakes the shutters on the window that could keep you up at night. Wedge in some paper towels in the creases/cracks and it will stop the thumping from the wind. There are a few “walkable” places……

“We had a lovely 5 night stay here in March. We were in room 1. It was so clean and quiet, cozy yet there was ample room! The apartment is very cool—there’s a fun little upstairs nook (up a spiral staircase) and the most place has everything we needed. There’s a grocery store, pharmacy, and liquor store within 5 minutes. We rented a scooter and parked it on the property without any issue. “We just spent five days at Ben's house in Somerset and had a magnificent time celebrating my mother's 85th birthday. We were a group of 12 of all ages coming from different countries and the house fit us perfectly with everyone having their own rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable bedding and towels for all. “We had a fantastic three day weekend on the island. The beds were super comfortable and plenty of space.We took cabs and also utilized the bus system. “We stayed 12 days at Whispering Waves And had an excellent time. Wendell, Xinia,and jasmine are a lovely family, with a wealth of knowledge to share about their island. The views from their home are beautiful overlooking the ocean with a large green space. There’s a table for two outside your private entrance. There’s a bus stop in either direction on the road side of the property, we traveled on the bus every day, if you get the bus pass, you can travel from one end of the island to the other……

“The house had a great view, was comfortable, in a great area. We always felt safe. Bus stop in front of the shop was perfect, but was actually in the road. We waited for the bus in a driveway near the stop.This is an older house and right on the water causing it to need a lot of maintenance. I enjoyed it, but in all honesty it needed some love and attention. I was decorating it in my mind.”

“We spent a week at the 'Deck House'. It was a wonderful place to stay and the location was awesome. Lorna was very friendly, helpful and provided us with many suggestions on things to do and places to go. “Property is a 5-7min walk to the beach.
Not ideal if you need to work In Hamilton.
Most restaurants are a bike or cab away.
Sometimes difficult to get cabs, but Bus to Hamilton is a 3 minute walk(but you need exact change or ticket - was difficult to tell how much the ride was, I had a leftover ticket that worked).
If you need to go to Hamilton by cab, it’s $25 each way and the cabs take cash (very few have credit card machines)
Overall a really nice property for the price.”

“For the money, room cleaning left a lot to be desired. We returned from the beach on our first full day and crumbs from the morning's croissant were still on the table. It didn't appear that the rug had been vacuumed during our entire stay. Expected better.”
