Founded in 1858 by the Texas Legislature, Callahan County derives its name from James Hughes Callahan, a distinguished American patriot associated with the Texas Revolution. The Callahan Divide, which consists of a range of hills, stretches from the west to the southeast, traversing Taylor and Callahan Counties. The Callahan Divine vacation rental pays tribute to the region's rich historical heritage. The term "Divine" denotes that our blessings encompass far more than mere land and inhabitants. This fully restored centennial structure embodies the rustic charm for which the area is renowned, further enhanced by an elegant celestial design. The vacation rental showcases an urban loft style, comprising three rooms: two king rooms and one queen room, along with a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious open living area, a designated desk and study area, and a thoughtfully designed bathroom. The industrial lighting highlights the soaring thirteen-foot open ceiling, while porcelain simulated wood plank flooring complements the distressed texture of the walls. Although in West Texas, it rivals the finest vacation rentals, offering one gigabit of high-speed internet, four large smart televisions, and central heating and air conditioning. Few vacation rentals in the region can boast such exceptional features.
