Beautiful lake scenary looking out from room window, room is big but hot due to adverse weather conditions at end of June. Food is good in both dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. Quite good service from all staff. Very attractive exterior design of the hotel, we take many lovely pictures.

Unser Zimmer hatte eine ungünstige Lage direkt über dem Eingang. Lüften war schwierig wegen Raucher und es war generell unruhig. Dafür hatte das Zimmer eine ganz fantastische Dusche. Personal war sehr unterschiedlich. Es gab einen einzigen freundlichen Mitarbeiter, andere waren entweder lustlos oder arrogant.

Check in took about an hour because of pre scheduled bus group and there was only one employee checking in. We finally got to our room to find the only things that worked were the lights, no outlets and no TV. They then provided us with another room on the next floor, no elevator. Carried bags up 3 flights of stairs. Got to new room to find there was no functioning heater and a bathroom fan that ran all night. There was no way to turn it off. Everything was just poorly managed.

We didn't get the VIP benefits and had to pay for a room upgrade. On the 2nd day, housekeeping brought a couple of the Crief Hotel Group gin miniatures and glasses/mixer into the room. This was presumably because we had responded to an Expedia enquiry regarding whether we had been given the promised gift card, which we never did receive. Staff really nice and friendly, area great and hotel fairly mainstream for 3 star venue. Restaurant great view, nice food but a third dearer than local well thought of restaurant and strangely service charge for hotel residents on top; making meals a serious matter. Worth having 2nd thoughts about the VIP access arrangements. Local area amazing for views etc.

Appears to be very popular for young families especially those not bothered by the potential for noise but perhaps less so for couples wanting a quiet weekend away. The location is amazing right in the landscape and fantastic for walking. The major drawback is the restaurant - nothing was ever hot enough but there are other options nearby, some of which one can walk to.

Set in a lovely peaceful / tranquil setting overlooking Loch Leven and amazing views looking up into Glen Coe. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of car parking and a few points for EV’s. Breakfast was a buffet style with was lovely. The dinner menu was outstanding - throughly recommend the haunch of venison in a blackcurrant sauce. Room very spacious with tv, tea/coffee facilities.
