My problem was not with the hotel itself, but with the terrible treatment I received as a result of the obvious incompetency of Expedia as a third party booking agency. I was thrown out of my room after the first night of my 2-night paid and confirmed reservation via Expedia because Candlewood Suites claimed that they had not received any payment from Expedia, claiming that I paid for just one night when I checked in. Even when I provided proof of my prepaid and confirmed reservation, the manager insisted that the hotel did not receive any funds from Expedia, and that the room was already booked for that second night to another customer. By the time everything was resolved, my stay was ruined. I will never use a third party, like Expedia, to book anything again, and I will advise everyone to go directly to the source whenever possible.
