I had to book here because the previous hotel I booked had closed and did notified me and Expedia, but it work for the best. I will defenety stay here again, I love my room and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is in a great location and I was able to walk to the event that I was going.

This hotel is unacceptable due to the condition of the rooms and amenities. The patio was flooded and smelled like mold. The furnishings were old, chipped and extremely worn. Bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Carpet had waves and was frayed in several areas. The power went off after turning on the closet light, maintenance fixed but said not to turn on light again! The only positive thing was the staff very nice.

We were in Baltimore for my daughter’s college graduation. I had high hopes for Pier 5 - but we couldn’t stay at this property. It was nothing like the pictures on Expedia and was very, very dated. We left within an hour of checking in. The room seemed unclean, musty, our “balcony” overlooked a huge air conditioning system that was very loud. We checked into the Renaissance Hotel across the street and were so relieved to have beautiful accommodations.

This hotel is dated, especially room decor. Sound between rooms crazy loud (more below).Balconies nice if you can get that. Breakfast buffet included with room on weekend was surprisingly plentiful and good!! Advertised happy hour was quicker than advertised, only on weekdays I guess, and nothing special. Great happy hour at attached McCormick and Smick's FYI. Parking garage and lot across cheaper than hotel. You can walk to anything in Inner Harbor from here so the location is great. Note on sound level: Unbearably bad if there's a connecting door (maybe without even). Next door was ridiculously loud latenight and then the front desk called MY room at 2am to say they'd had complaints!! Really? How about do your homework by walking upstairs before guessing and waking up a guest that was one of the ones suffering? So service needs to be improved.

This property on Expedia looks much better than it actually is. You would think it would be a great hotel with Ruth Chris in it. The pictures look amazing. It is a rundown Hotel, dingy. And you can stay for half the price at the Hyatt, which is a way better hotel. Also on the water very disappointed. We left a couple hours after being there and switched hotels.

We could never get hot water in our room. The water was never more than lukewarm. The room was noisy, because there was a 1 inch gap at the bottom of the door. all of the noise from the lobby drifted into the room. every room door faces the lobby. We took a Taxi to the hotel. The desk clerk would not call us a taxi when we wanted to check out. He bluntly told us to call for a Lyft or Uber.

Stayed at Pier 5 Hotel recently. It was okay overall. The best part was the location—really close to a bunch of good restaurants, which made grabbing food super easy. The room was fine for getting work done, but the lighting in the hotel lobby was pretty dark, which wasn’t great. The outside of the hotel has a rustic, pier-like vibe—not fancy, but maintained well enough. Staff were nice and polite, but nothing over the top. No one really went out of their way to make the stay feel special. So, don’t expect over the top customer service. Overall, it’s a decent spot if you just need somewhere convenient and functional—but don’t expect anything too memorable.
