We loved the location and the design of the hotel. Their Patio with heated pool/spa/sauna had seating surrounding it with fireplaces. The view of the mountain from the Patio is beautiful

We liked EVERYTHING about this hotel. Our room was just steps away from the beautiful hot tubs and fire pits on the roof with a mountain view. The Roam bus stop was just across the street, and the hotel gave us day passes.

Pros: The property looks new, the restaurant is great and the room sizes are good. Cons: we stayed for 4 nights there, they never cleaned our bathroom. Just changing the towels, my hairs were in the bathtub all 4 days and cleaner never clean them. The coffee and tea were good quality but they have not made it available in the room. The room service used to leave only one coffee or one tea or forgetting coffee filter and we had to call front desk multiple times to ask for these.

Overall this was an okay stay. The hotel is cute, but understand if you've never been to Banff (esp in the high season) that the high cost of this hotel doesn't meant it's a luxury hotel; it is because Banff gets 4 million visitors in the summer season and so things are massively overpriced. It has cute finishes (rain shower, wood wall), but the "view" we were supposed to get was a road with some trees on the other side (so, no view, though we did see some deer), and it was pretty small for a room with two queen beds. The A/C is very loud, the sheets were basic, and so, it was very decent but not lux. Don't expect lux! That said, the manager (Peter) was great and did everything in his power to serve us, but the hotel is really more like an elevated Holiday Inn than a luxury stay. It's in a great place on Banff Avenue, a bit off the most congested area so I loved that, and there is easy parking. 5 stars on coffee and tea: it's truly the best coffee and tea I've ever had at a hotel. And, the restaurant is great (we ate there 3 times). I would recommend this hotel but don't mistake the $600 (USD) + fee per night (during summer) for this being a luxury place. It's pretty basic, very decent, and some of the staff (not all) are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Out of five stars, I'd give it four stars. It was overall good, but for the price, I expected more. It is conveniently located, etc., but is overall a pretty basic place.

If we had to complain we would say the elevators are very slow for the number of floors they cover. There is nothing else to complain about though, it was perfect and we look forward to staying again one day.

Good location to the bus line throughout the city. The staff was really friendly and helpful about the best ways to get around the city. Bed was too firm for our liking and sheets were a little rough but we didn’t spend all that much time in the room. Would recommend.
