“Just what we wanted: a spacious amount of room for 4 people, an unusual location while still convenient to Portland, and a responsive host. It's more "house" than "boat," but it's located on a pretty little stretch of water with a small current. We loved watching the geese family, heron and beaver across the way. We weren't expecting train tracks to be so close, or the trains so plentiful, but it soon added to the charm of the place. Access is easy, with one reserved parking spot. Others living……

“Wonderful spot around the corner to coffee shops, restaurants, shops and breweries. Within walking distance of the N Mississippi Ave area and the Alberta Arts district for more. Spring time flowering trees and shrubs everywhere. The house was charming, spotless and comfortable. We felt right at home. Our host was immediately helpful with any questions we had. “This is a perfect place for a single or couple to sleep, shower, and get ready for the day. I think it's a full bed, so if you're super tall it might be an issue. Great for the price; the accommodations are low-end hotel quality and could cost 50% more and still be a good deal. Minor, minor issues for the hesitant: - thin walls and a slight lack of privacy- there were drainflies around the shower and a single gnat in the blinds. - the neighborhood is a little sketchy, especially late at night.……

“14 of us all had tons of room and bed space, no waiting for showers, everything we needed to cook and serve in the kitchen. Lots of storage in the bedrooms and even an option to drop luggage in storage before check in. We had places to park several cars. The walkable food, coffee, groceries options really sealed the deal for us and we had a ton of fun.”
