Relaxing beautiful view

We love this place and return every year. It has such a relaxing beautiful view right from the back deck. It's also ground level, so easy access for our disabled son. There's lots to see and do in the surrounding communities. The furnishings are also very comfortable and it is very roomy. The neighborhood is very peaceful.

Cozy and warm

Beautiful decorated and clean. Had everything you needed and wanted. Most definitely want to go back in summer or spring. We went for snow tubing with the kids. About 2 miles from Hawks Nest

Snow Tubing Weekend

Great location for Hawks Nest Snow Tubing! Convenient to both Boone and Banner Elk amenities. Cozy place with all the conveniences of home! Quiet!

Terrific Condo with awesome view

We stayed a weekend and enjoyed everything about this condo and its awesome view of grandfather mountain. It was very spacious and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. We will absolutely stay again.

Great location

We were in the Banner elk area and this place is a cute little hideaway convenient to the places we were visiting although we did not take advantage of a lot of the amenities they offered. It was perfect for us for location and also we are able to do a load of laundry, which was convenient. All in all a lovely spot. Great communication was a bonus

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I celebrated 5 years last week and decided to take a mountain trip to celebrate this weekend. Everything about our stay was perfect house was super clean, everything was just as stated on the listing. I would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay however the people on the third level was remodeling and did not stop at a reasonable time. Also could hear neighbors walking and flashing to e toilet.

The temp was the only issue

Myself and a friend, who are both newly postpartum moms, decided to take ourselves on a getaway with the babies. As we needed to get out of the house. I was happy with the quick location to a Walgreens, grocery store, Boone, hiking, and the view was MUCH better than in the photos. Unfortunately, the only way to adjust the temperature was on a knob that had zero numbers listing the degrees. And, as new moms, this can make the difference between a miserably cold baby, comfortably sleeping, or dead. If it was just us, or older kids, I wouldnt have been so concerned, however, we were up every hour of the night making sure they were still breathing. It was just hard to tell how warm a slight knob turn would make it, because it got warm fast. If there was just a little mark listing the 70 degree mark, for example, we could've at least gone based off that, but it wasn't as relaxing as we would've hoped. Overall, I did love the layout of the place, the location, etc. It was just the thermostat that keeps me from giving 5 starts. However, once baby girl is older, I would love to stay again.

Great Stay

We loved our stay. The condo was very clean, fully stocked, and easily accessible. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The owner was very polite and quickly responded to all our questions. Would stay again!

Beautiful Views- Great Location

The overall condo itself was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed for the most part. Loved the décor! View was amazing ! Only thing I would recommend is adding more than 2 towels and washcloths for each bathroom, my family of 4 went through those in 2 days and our stay was for 6night 7days, so we had to make a few wash loads. The owner Molly was very easy to communicate with and was pleasant. Unfortunately, during our stay we ran into some issues. Monday morning, New Years Day at 730am we heard loud footsteps above us and then came along a nail gun, hammers, etc. I ended up walking upstairs to ask the contractors about it, they said they were there all week remodeling the unit. My husband and I were so upset. As we paid quite a bit for this trip. I did reach out to Molly who ended up contacting the owner above us. They were to make arrangements to not be there any further that week. However, that did not happen. Every morning around 830am- they were there doing their thing. Not to mention, the flooring is light, so you can hear every footstep above you. I don’t directly blame Molly, but had we known a remodel was going to be going on, we would have booked somewhere else. It killed our Winter Trip Vibe this year.

Family getaway in the mountains!

This place is adorable! Makes you feel like you’re in a cozy cabin! The owner was so great! She took the time to help us personalize our stay and communicated w us whenever we needed it. It was so perfect! Perfect distance to hawksnest tubing and local restaurants. Our family had a blast!

Great mountain condo!

We had a wonderful weekend at the condo! It was just as the pictures showed- clean, bear themed decor, well-stocked. No stairs was a big plus for some of our group. Great central location to be able to explore Blowing Rock, Boone, Banner Elk, etc.

Mountain Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. We had the space we wanted. Condo had everything we needed and some extras in the kitchen supplies. Location was near Sugar, Beech and Grandfather mountains. We found great places to eat like Fred's on Beech mountain and Banner Elk Cafe. We even saw a deer in the back one evening while sitting out on the deck. Would stay here again for sure!

Mountain top bliss!

Perfect condo to enjoy the cooler temps and views of Grandfather Mountain! We spent many hours on the deck in the morning and early evening. Bedrooms are spacious as well as the bathrooms. Kitchen was perfect to prep breakfasts & snacks. Although you could easily prep dinner but why would you with so many restaurants in Boone, Banner Elk & Blowing Rock. Spent an afternoon at the Grandfather Winery which was so close! Listened to music and sampled flights of wine. Our contact person was always prompt with any questions we had before arrival. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Bear Den!

Incredible views and access

The view is great from the deck. Very roomy and comfortable. Near Boone, Blowing Rock, Parkway and more. We really enjoyed our stay. Also it is ground level so we didn’t have to use stairs.
