The Space:
Banyena Homestead by Tiny Away, nestled in the serene neighborhood of Banyena, offers a picturesque retreat just an hour's drive from the Grampians. The tiny home, set on lowland surrounded by nature near our homestead and nestled among trees, offers a calm and tranquil escape, complemented by the sounds of farm animals.
This farm stay is just an hour's drive from Halls Gap. Enjoy hiking trails, breathtaking views, and diverse wildlife. Explore attractions like Little Desert National Park, Boroka Lookout, and Mackenzie Falls for an unforgettable experience amidst nature's wonders.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet, hand basin, and gas-heated shower.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and have restricted access to the workshop, and fenced house yard.

Banyena Homestead is situated in Banyena, just an hour's drive from Halls Gap and the Grampians, Victoria. The Grampians are famed for their rugged gorges, weathered rock formations, cascading waterfalls, and vibrant wildflowers.
What’s more, you can explore nearby attractions such as St Arnaud, Grampians National Park, Boroka Lookout, MacKenzie Falls, Little Desert National Park, and Horsham. In Horsham, you’ll also have easy access to the Silo Art Trail and more of the Grampians National Park.
Getting Around:
By car:
- 1 hr drive from Halls Gap
- 2 hrs drive from Bendigo
- 2 hrs drive from Ballarat
- 2 hrs drive from Grampians
- 3.5 hrs drive from Melbourne
By public transport:
- We recommend guests to travel by a private vehicle as there is no public transport that travels directy from our property. Thank you.
By Flight:
- Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) is the closest major airport, about a 3.5-hour drive from Banyena.
- From the airport, you can rent a car to drive directly to Banyena.
- Another option is to take a SkyBus from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. From there, you can rent a vehicle, as no direct public transport travels to Banyena.
Other Things to Note:
- No unregistered visitors or guests allowed
- No smoking allowed inside, except outdoors
- Telstra has a strong signal, but other networks are weak
- We offer an electric BBQ grill and firewood at $30 per tub
- Please note that we have pets on the property who may occasionally roam freely.
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep in mind that electric BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
