We were looking forward to four nights in Barcelona. Check-in on Wednesday evening was quick and pleasant. We dropped our bags and went to dinner, but when we returned and began unpacking, water suddenly poured from the bathroom ceiling as if the shower above had been turned on. It slowed to a drip, then started again like heavy rain. We reported it immediately. Maintenance arrived but seemed unsurprised, explaining it was due to the guests upstairs showering and assured us “the ceiling won’t come down.” The front desk said the hotel was fully booked, could not reach a manager, and expected us to sleep in a room we did not feel safe in. We had booked through Expedia and contacted them as well, but they could not get hold of the hotel either. At 10 p.m., we decided to leave. No one should be asked to spend the night in those conditions. Fortunately, we found another hotel nearby with availability. The next day Expedia informed us that the hotel had authorized only a partial refund, keeping $271 for the few hours we were in the room with the leaking ceiling. We’ve contacted the manager twice with no response. The hotel also never followed up to offer a different room or address the situation. We understand cancellation policies, but this was not a choice—it was a safety issue. Maintenance even admitted this wasn’t the first time it had happened in their 90-year-old building. The facade may look nice, but the lack of accountability and management response is unacceptable.

There is a cafe right opposite the hotel. The shops are 3-4 minutes walking distance. Main bus routes nearby. I had a standard room and upgraded for 25€ to a hamam room with a jacuzzi. Receptionist Luca helped us and made process very easy. The hamam room for 25€ is great and everything worked fine. Very relaxing. Hotel staff very pleasant, hotel smelt amazing. Overall great hotel good location good price and staff were good! Thank you! They spoke English and Spanish while we were there

Das Hotel war eine Zumutung, wir sind noch am selben Tag abgereist. Die Zimmer sind extrem unpraktisch, es gibt nicht man einen Schrank oder eine Ablagefläche für den Koffer außer den Boden. Die Dusche ist 1 qm2 groß, man kann sich nicht mal bücken (ich bin 1,60m und wiege 55kg also an mir liegt es nicht). Auch im Bett waren mehrere Flecken auf dem Laken und Haare. Wir haben uns tatsächlich am selben Tag noch ein anderes Hotelgebucht und sind abgereist. Wir wollten für die ungenutzten 4 Tage die Touristen Pauschale zurück bekommen und wurden daraufhin an eine Mailadresse verwiesen. Leider haben wir bis heute keine Rückmeldung darauf erhalten, es ist schon eine sehr schwache Leistung gewesen. Generell war das Zimmer als auch die Flure sehr abgenutzt.

Hatten Suite mit Jacuzzi . Die Scheibe sollte aus Milchglas oder verdunkelbar sein . Zimmer ist in Bezug auf Abwasser auch aus anderen Zimmern hellhörig . Sehr harte Kissen . Frühstücken hervorragend. Super Park Möglichkeiten . Am letzten Tag riesige Kakerlake auf Flur gesehen, gehört wohl dazu . Metro pople-sec 5 min Fußweg … 3 Stationen bis Liceu , eine bis Place Espanya. Vor dem Hotel 5 min nach links hast Panorama Blick auf Brunnen und Placa Espanya

The photos of this hotel look great, but actually the hotel is quite basic. The air conditioning barely works, the area around the hotel is dirty, our toilet door kept getting stuck when you opened it and they didn’t fix it despite us telling them and whilst they provide beach towels you’d need to leave 40 euros deposit. There are better hotels for a similar price.

The property was clean and well presented the only issue washaving nobody at Reception for the first 15 minutes, although we did arrive later than we thought because of Taxi issues from the airport. Staff were helpful. Room was quite compact but clean and functional.

it was a flying overnight stop on way to Morocco by train, breakfast not particularly inspiring - a lot of options but poor quality. room was an odd shape and just not very inspiring
