“The Otway Nest is located in a rain forest and the drive there was stunning, we arrived and were greeted by a beautiful, modern, and full featured BnB. The heater was on, the home was warm, and small details like having our dogs bowl full of water ready for her arrival was wonderful. A couple of slight disappointments we did have with this stay was a lack of electric car charging (I had no idea I was meant to let them know my car was electric, and there could have been a charge point available……

“My partner and I made the trek from the east of Melbourne out to Apollo Bay and stayed at the Apple Tree Cottage for 3 days for our honeymoon. The location and surrounding scenery is nothing short of amazing. Being able to open your blinds in the morning and look out across the picturesque lake is incredible. Only being a short 10 minute trip from town is also a great bonus. The cottage itself is lovely with a good layout and nice rooms, the bathroom with spa bath, cosy little fireplace in the……

“Absolutely stunning stay. The house is a fantastic size, beautifully presented with top quality linen, kitchenware, furnishings with every small detail considered. Very well equipped with thoughtful touches throughout. Impeccably clean, comfortable beds, peaceful location on the most stunning property. “We spent a lovely weekend in this Birregurra property. Communications were clear and thoughtful. The beds and longe area were comfortable. We had some difficulty operating the split system when the weather turned cool. Some images to indicate which mode operates which function would be helpful. The generous bowl of fruit was very welcome. ”

“We loved the location, the steep treed hills and the lake - an excellent base to travel around the Otways. More generous tea/ coffee supplies were needed. Also there was no pre-warning about lack of free-to-air TV and only a few board games. In this situation, a radio would also be a useful addition to amenities. Suggest a warning system/ tooting? on the steep narrow, driveway shared between other guests & host family.”

“This property is in one of the best locations in Victoria. Filled with wildlife, felt so remote and yet only 15mins to Apollo bay. So relaxing and peaceful. The outside areas of the property itself was a bit rundown with the balcony in need of some repairs. There were a number of nails sticking out and some of the boards were rotted. The interior was perfect, with everything that you need. For those with dogs- I’m not sure this should be listed as pet friendly accommodation as dogs are not……
