“Brilliant hotel in a great beach-front location. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. The staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, particularly Leo who was regularly ensuring that we were happy with everything. Breakfast is made to order to suit your preferences and was very tasty. Nice hammocks to relax in. The staff even took our luggage to the dock for us”

“I didn't think the food at the restaurant was cooked very well. Twice I order chicken and it was overcooked. The people who worked there were pleasant enough but it felt like they didn't like their jobs. The only exception was our tour guide. Sadly, I can't remember his name but he was great. He was the guide who met us and went with us to the La Pavona Dock.”

“Lovely little place five minutes walk from the port. Great air con and nice to share the facilities next door with a great little pool and lovely breakfast. All the staff were great. The only improvement I would suggest is a fridge and coffee maker in the room, and we think someone could make some money offering a bag carrying service from the port with a cart! It’s very hot with heavy bags. But overall a lovely stay - thank you! ”

“The rain was particularly heavy when we checked in and the room we booked had a small leak, so we had a downstairs river view for the first night. This first room, though large with AC, just felt dark (the windows were looking onto the lower terrace so you felt you had to shut the curtains). The shower also would not get warm. However, for the second night we were moved into an upstairs river view room, and what a difference! It was so light and airy feeling - again with AC and great space.……

“Die Unterkunft besteht aus einfachen, aber sehr sauberen Holzbungalows, die inmitten der schönen Natur des Tortuguero Nationalparks liegen. Das inbegriffene Frühstück ist hervorragend und auch sonst isst man sehr gut im Restaurant vor Ort (nicht ganz billig, wie überall in Costa Rica). Am Morgen wurden wir von Brüllaffen geweckt. Mit einem gratis Bootsshuttle kann man in den Hauptort fahren, wo es viele weitere Restaurants gibt.”
