Exclusive Lakefront House on Private Lake

Our tranquil lakefront cottage is 40 minutes from the GTA and a short walk to grocery shopping, movie theaters, restaurants, and much more.

Enjoy the sunrise and sunset with views of the quiet lake from one of the two massive decks. Have fun swimming, fishing from the dock. Kayaking, pedaled boat, canoeing, paddle boarding, and fishing are all available for guests to enjoy.
The space
The house features 130 feet of waterfront, 300 feet deep with lots of parking.

A beautiful cottage
Loved the cottage, warm, comfortable, relaxing. Enjoyed staying two days over the holidays for a skiing getaway. Cathy was an amazing host and helped us with everything leaving up to the stay! Would love to visit again.

Wonderful few days
The property was an hour drive from home and all the amenities close by. Cathy answered my questions immediately and was a perfect hostess. Unfortunately, we stayed during a heat wave, so it was hot, but there was an A/C unit in the main part of the cottage and ceiling fans all over the place. Had a wonderful time. Thanks Cathy.

A beautiful lakeside spot
We had a wonderful stay here - the location was great, the views were beautiful, the cottage was spacious and well equipped and communication with Cathy was excellent. We just wish we had fewer plans while we stayed here so we could have enjoyed it more!!

Incredible experience
As soon as you walk into the house, you are greeted with an amazing view of the lake and a cozy cottage environment. The host provided every single possible thing you could imagine which allowed for a more comforting and relaxing experience. Not only that, but the water equipment was incredible and well maintained. We'll definitely be coming back to this place in the near future. Highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a relaxing cottage experience.

Problematic host
My first impression was awesome. The place has a great potential. Beautiful view. The cottage looks renovated and clean. However, if you are travelling with toddlers, you better be prepared to clean the place yourself. There were spider webs on every bench in the house and outside. The patio downstairs is dirty and there are rats there. The backyard is a swamp. Despite the weather being great, we couldn't let the kids enjoy the backyard because the sewage system there makes the grass in the backyard wet and a slippery swamp. Not to mention that my husband slipped and fell down the hill due to that swamp grass. The lake is very dirty so other than the water crafts, which were a great addition, you cannot enjoy swimming there. I did not have any negative comments for the host. However, with children we were 20 min late when checking out and Cathy right away message me to let me know that we are late. Not to mention, we had kids around and her partner had utter disregard and smoked around them. Then, she advised me that we had broken some already not functioning paper towel holder and charged me extra 65$. There is a rule book that is longer than the last book I read, which tells you all the rules you have to follow. For instance, how you will be charged extra for towels if you make them dirty. I would rather bring my own towel than live in fear haha Overall, not a great experience with the host.

Come on in
The property is in a perfect location. Our family found it easily. The plaza to pick up groceries and spirits was so convenient. Access to the highway was easy. The cottage itself was wonderful. As soon as you opened the door, it felt welcoming. The lakefront view was visible. The place was spotless and tastefully decorated. The bedrooms with ensuites were fabulous…..the waterfall showers were delightful. We didn’t use the water equipment or fire pit due to the weather, but it just added to the amenities of the place. The rule book simplified things and the welcoming tray of goodies was delightful. Everything we needed was available. If we were swimming, I would suggest bringing your own beach towels. Because we had single family members, a couple of single beds would have helped. However, we managed and the beds were really comfortable. Yes, we would holiday there again. Thank you for wonderful experience. Our British family were totally blown away with the accommodations.

Awesome family time at lovely Little Lake Cottage
From the time we first entered the cottage and every moment after, our reaction was “ wow”!!. The view of the lake is amazing no matter when you look out the large windows, and the decor is so lovely, it truly feels like a home away from home. It feels like you are in cottage country with the views of nature, and at the same time enjoying the rustic elegance of the spacious cottage. There was plenty of room for our family to be together on the upper level and room for the younger generation to enjoy space to themselves on the lower level where there is a separate entrance to the yard and lake. A perfect arrangement! The owner Cathy provided everything that anyone may need, with a well equipped kitchen, and bathrooms with all the extras such as quality hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, and towels. And the showers have rainfall showers heads which added to the luxurious feel of the place. Outside, tulips were blooming by the lake and there were numerous planters with geraniums around the property . So many little touches , way too many to mention , that show Cathy has put so much thought into making those staying at the cottage feel special. Our family are already thinking of when we can return. An awesome place for making memories!

We loved the house at Little Lake! Right on the water and just a couple minutes drive from everything you could possibly need. You feel like you are in cottage country in the city! We had a really great stay and would love to come back ;-)

Amazing!
This luxury cottage is perfect! It has all the amenities you could ask for and wonderful special touches provided by the host. Plus the view from the living room is gorgeous looking out onto the tranquil lake. I went there to spend two days looking for peace and quiet and I got it! I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful getaway
Right in the heart of Barrie, with a perfect, secluded view of the lake! We enjoyed the canoing and paddleboards, bonfire, and many cozy amenities in the cabin. Everything is warm, clean and modern, and extremely welcoming. So thankful to Cathy for a great stay.

Fabulous stay on Little Lake
Cathy is a wonderful host. She communicates well and she is accommodating. House is very clean and the expansive view of the lake from the family and dining area as well as the kitchen is awesome. We tried all the watersports available (paddleboard, paddleboat and canoe) many times. We built campfires and sat under the stars. Kitchen is spacious and well stocked with small appliances and supplies. Our young adults stayed in the basement where they have 2 bedooms, their own bathroom and their own kitchenette. Cottage is close to the city (a bit over an hour from Toronto) and 2 minute drive from Zehrs and LCBO. Overall our group is very happy with our stay!

Family Fun!
My family really enjoyed our stay at Little Lake. The spacious cottage was clean and the beautiful decor made you feel at home. The cottage is a 5 min. drive from any amenities you would need but just mins. from the cottage life which is very convienent. There is lots to do in the area for kids if its rainy. My favourite place was sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. It was private and quiet. The firepit was a big hit with the comfortable chairs. Cathy is very quick to answer questions and takes a lot of pride in hosting which is apparent with her decor, soft bath towels and comfy beds. I would highly recommend this cottage if you want to take home great memories!
