“Very quick response from owner on any questions we had. ”

“Our group included three young people (ages 18-22) and all of us were incredibly impressed with the lodging itself - a whole charming house - and especially with the location, near the lovely town of Antigonish and very near to a fantastic 4 km long beach (Pomquet Beach) with seals, fir trees, spectacular sunsets, etc. We went in January - not a time in Nova Scotia for the timid - and the house was warm and cozy and the host had the driveway plowed for us as soon as we asked. “The house is, technically, as described but there are a few design issues that made it hard to use. The ladder, which is needed to access the loft, blocks the bathroom door. So if you have it in place for climbing, it has to be moved to open the loo door, then moved back to climb back up again. We have stayed in tiny houses before and found them easier to maneuver around. Which would be fine but at this price it should be somewhat more comfy. Caveat Emptor”

“Very clean and good space. The view is amazing! We attended events at StFx so the distance was about 10 min too far but if you plan your trips it works. Communication with owner was great! Nice place and highly recommend!”

“We needed a place to freeze some packs for medication and these hosts went above and beyond to help. They also provided us with fresh eggs and blueberries from their homestead. Place was clean and she had the radio playing when we came in. So sweet! The water was warm and clear for us and was so nice to wade in. Two notes: There is no A/C (which I didn’t realize but that’s on me and not the fault of the listing) and if you come in August, bring some heavy duty deet bug spray. Mosquitos are no……

“I can’t say enough about this property and the owners. Hugh was most accommodating and the property is very well appointed and very comfortable. If you want a quiet relaxing place to get away. This is it! ”

“Great comfy rooms, fantastic staff, modern and lux feeling for a budget place. Full breakfast included. Very convenient off the highway. Seems like the queen bed with living room, rooms are on the highway side which, while not super loud as it’s a new build, I could still hear trucks when they passed so switched rooms as I’m a light sleeper. Nice breakfast included. A comfortable no-nonsense stay which we appreciated.”
