“Although just 1 night, Our stay was amazing- When checking in the Older Gentleman was so welcoming and friendly. He explained rules of the property clearly and directed us to our little cottage. The cottage itself was a small studio style and it had a beautiful ocean view and was reasonably priced and perfect for a little romantic getaway.”

“Cute and cozy space, with country charm. Great location. Comfortable bed, nice little yard. Nice tasting room on property. Responsive host. 10 minutes to Pismo Beach. Recommended. ”

“What a cute and comfortable place this is. Easy access from the highway and literally steps from the beach. The cottage has just enough room. There is a closet on the way to a spacious bathroom and a small table by a front window. We really liked the front porch/deck area which extends the living space. Bonuses: Its very quiet and the owners were very responsive. Lovely place and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.”

“This rental has some great upsides, especially its convenient location near the beaches. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a day out, and the bed and linens were exceptionally comfortable, making for a great night's sleep.However, there were a few significant drawbacks that impacted our stay. The living room felt very cluttered, with far too much furniture packed into a small space, which made it less enjoyable to relax in. We were also disappointed by the lack of beach supplies;……

“Exceptionally clean, lovely views with lots of windows. Had a little trouble with the lock but management quickly addressed it. Really close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. I would love to return. One thing to note is the hotel next door gets early deliveries and it can be a little loud at 7am. I just used that as a reason to take a long walk on the beach. ”

“Perfect little getaway. I loved that they had a game room that had a toddler kitchen with all the play food to go with it plus a ton of other fun games for kids and adults. Good location. Close to beach and grocery store. Cant wait to plan our next trip”

“There was no table inside, just TV trays. We were able to cook some meals while there but it was not convenient for eating. The gas grill was fairly dirty and we decided to not use it. There was a table and chairs outside but they were not clean and the metal chairs had no cushions that we had access to. “This was the 4th time my family, and I stayed at the Pink Gem, and it was just as wonderful as the first time. We just love the location! It is so nice to sit and enjoy the ocean views with a cup of coffee in the morning and a glass of wine at the end of the day. I have recommended this place to others!”

“Awesome retro style. Large living room and great views. Bedrooms are nicely appointed. However, the deck needs some maintenance. Plants are dying from lack of water, the railings have a lot of mold and lichens, and the decking could use some work. There is also a lot of street noise when sitting on the deck, but you cannot hear it while inside. The main bathroom shower is difficult to maneuver due to the walk-in tub for seniors. In addition, I was charged a different price than originally……

“Very interesting property and location. The neighborhood is quite run down but this house is fixed up pretty well. It’s a marshy area so the vegetation growth is immense which gives great privacy. If you entered from the rear driveway you’d never know about hoopty places nearby. Because of humidity we had to air it out when we got there but no big deal. Yard was amazing and would be great for a young family of 4-5. ”
