Not clean and the hot tub was nasty
There was mouse poop in the kitchen drawers, there was trash all around the hot tub including the old filters they just threw on the floor, they didn’t shovel the deck or salt it and I slipped, the directions they gave were wrong, took an hour to find it, we never received check in directions so thank goodness they had a phone number to call, the check in spot is 25 minutes away from the cabin. We just got there in time to get the key. The Internet didn’t work at all, there were so many dead bugs and dust under the bed, the upstairs hadn’t been vacuumed at all or the stairs, dogs barked during the night so we couldn’t sleep. At least the bed downstairs was comfy but I didn’t feel clean. The bathroom and fridge was clean at least. When we first got there they brought in the microwave cuz theirs stopped working, nothing like an awkward experience when you first get there. Said fishing was available in the pond but it was frozen over. Wish they would’ve said that. There’s trash all in front of the yard. The hosts were super sweet people but they seriously need to do a better job at cleaning, when we woke up there was mouse poop all over the counters. It’s the country I get it, I was born & raised in Wisconsin in the woods, but you can absolutely keep them contained with proper cleaning and constantly having traps. Hopefully it’s better in the summer time, this was my 1 night to get away and it sucjs I couldn’t enjoy it.
