The Bird's Nest

Though the Bird's Nest is designed for two people in one bed we know that sometimes families or groups need an extra bed... we can be flexible. Extra guest (up to two) are no charge. Please keep in mind that check-out is 11AM unless allowances are made in advance.

Private Entrance, Comfortable, 18'X36' Common Area, Kitchenette, and Dining Area. Includes: Kitchen Sink, Refrigerator, Ice maker, Microwave, Large Toaster Oven, Coffee Maker and Electric Tea Kettle. Private Bedroom and Bath. Memory Foam Queen Fold-Out Sofa in Common Area. Patio Includes: Glass Table with Four Chairs and Chimenea for Chilly Evenings. Plenty of Space to Park a Vehicle and Boat. Less than a Mile to River Launch. Well Behaved Kid and Dog Friendly. All Questions Cheerfully Answered:)
An Acre and a Half of Park-like grounds. Tucked into the pines on a dead end road, which borders protected the land of one of the Lowcountry's oldest plantations. Private, Quiet, and Beautiful. CHOOSE YOUR BED TYPE: Firm (Mattress with Linens), Moderate: (Mattress with Memory Foam Topper and Linens) Soft: (Mattress with Memory Foam Topper, plus Feather Bed and Linens) .

Completely Private from Main House with Separate Entrance. Bring your boat... Just a mile to the River Boat Launch. Nearly a Third of the First Floor is available for Guests.

Never Disappoints
Our third stay with Christine and once again her little “Wren’s Nest” did not disappoint. She makes sure that you have everything that you could possibly need. Very quiet other than a crowing rooster and assorted woodpeckers, squirrels and rabbits.

Christine and Mike have created a very sweet little place outside of Beaufort, very accommodating with everything we needed for our few days there. Freshly made choc chip muffins for breakfast, plenty of coffee, ice machine, were some of the extras. Altho it was a bit of a drive back to town for dinner in Beaufort, we discovered there was a Golf course Bar and Grill very close by for a great local hangout….I have an eclectic collection of Bird art in my own house and this place made me feel very much at home with the birds ☺️

We had an amazing stay @ The Bird’s Nest. Christine is an amazing host. The property is even nicer than the pictures. Impeccably clean, attention to detail… yogurts, coffee, chilled waters. Comfortable bed! Great location. We only wish we were staying longer. I highly recommend this property.

AWESOME HOST!
Rental is extremely clean, well cared-for and managed by onsite property owner. Pictures are accurate, if not underwhelming, when compared to actuality. Host went out of her way to be communicative and helpful prior to check-in, making the process easy-peasy, yet she was very respectful of our privacy. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with fresh flowers, fresh-baked muffins, water and yogurt in the fridge, and everything needed for a cup of coffee or tea. Downtown Beaufort is a simple 15-minute drive, but you return to a nice quiet spot for rest and relaxation. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to check out a little late and the owner could not have been more gracious and accommodating. My only regret is I had business to tend to, was busy both days, and only got to stay one night. I WILL return to The Bird’s Nest!!!

Second visit…same result
This was our second stay with Christine and nothing has changed-just excellent. It’s not large, but it is the perfect size for us two and our two miniature poodles. The location is quiet, yet convenient to Beaufort and Hunting Island. Christine is there if you need her, but she allows complete privacy. A Publix is near, but she has provided all that you need. Highly recommend

Outstanding accommodation!
The cottage is tucked away off main road. It is really peaceful. Christine, our hostess, was very helpful and friendly. We felt very much at home. The cottage is extremely clean, most comfortable bed and a restful, quiet atmosphere. We loved it.

Well Organized, 110% stocked, Quiet and Convenient
This little gem near Beaufort, SC met our needs and served as a respite from travel for a few days. The attached “cottage” was more than stocked. We didn’t need to purchase anything other than food (even then, Christine provided 4 ginormous chocolate muffins for us to indulge.) The two rooms are thoughtfully laid our and were spacious for the two of us and our two poodles. What immediately sold us were the 270 degrees of windows looking out on lush vegetation. We will stay here again…actually, we are returning in two weeks on our way home.

Quiet and cozy
Great host and clean accommodations on a quiet dead-end circle. Extras like doggy and human treats were a nice touch. Good proximity between our day trips of Port Royal and Beaufort. The bed was not comfortable for me as I require a firm mattress and am used to a king. So I slept on the sofa the 2nd night but it was kind of nice lying there seeing the tall trees in the moonlight & listening to the hoot owls.

Perfect Hideaway
Nicely appointed converted side porch that was just right for us and our 2 small dogs. Everything was tidy and clean. Christine really thought of EVERYTHING! There was water in the fridge, freshly baked muffins, coffee, tea, condiments and every kind of utensil or small appliance you could need in the kitchen, and anything you might forget or need in the bathroom. Very comfortable bed and sensible furniture. Never heard or saw anyone and felt very safe and private. One of the best VRBO experiences we've had. Thanks so much!
