“wonderfully restored old mansion. Rooms were charming... nicely designed. In fact the entire facility has been thoughtfully brought into today's design standards. Very accomodating staff... although many appeared to be a training mode. Need to improve the professionalism a bit. They have a new general manager (had only been there about 2 weeks when we visited)... seems he has a number of things on his agenda that will improve the property even more. Food was good... but not wonderful. ……

“Pristine can mean several different things. My interpretation was to be “like new”. This dwelling did not quite live up to that standard, but was clean, sans the “mud room” and what appeared to be mold on the peak of the ceiling above the living room. The original listing stated firewood was provided by the host. Then, the checkin instructions stated guests provided their own. Not huge, just misstated in the listing (since changed). “I rented the cabin for my birthday and it was exactly what I wanted!! The cabin was well outfitted with towels, sheets, utensils, glassware, dish ware, and pots/pans. It had plenty of space for 6 adults and the kayaks and other attractions were in wonderful condition! We also loved the Shoppe that was a 1 minute walk from the property. It had a delicious breakfast and was filled with some last-minute groceries when we needed a few things. Overall, a terrific trip!!”

“The house was perfect for us. Spacious, clean, comfortable. Beds comfortable. Bathrooms really nice. The road in the development is dirt, a 4wd is needed as stated. It was muddy and rutty on arrival, then snow and ice , but do-able. Great house. Would recommend ”
