“Excellent pace to stay, close to the train station, pubs and bars , room looks modern, clean and fresh, although over the road from a busy bar we slept really well as the new windows blocked out any noise , we did have and issue with room keys on arrival but we sorted it with the help of another guest , we’d definitely stay again .”

“The Carton house is about 45 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from Dublin. The grounds are lovely. The walk to Town is about 30 minutes and well worth it as there are other historical sites to visit in the town. The interior of the Carton house is modern but historical features remain throughout. Make sure you make dinner reservations well before you get there as the restaurants on property fill up quickly. The activities should also be booked well in advance. Many we wished to do……

“There is a full kitchen available to all tenants. It is stocked with fresh eggs, milk, fresh squeezed orange juice, cereal, granola, bread for toast and much more to make mornings so pleasant! Rooms were beautiful and remodeled but still antique enough to have the old Irish feeling. Malcolm and Angela were such a joy to have as hosts. we could not have asked for a better stay, hosts, and beautiful property to walk in (gardens/open fields)”

“My wife and I did a small tour of Ireland on a motorbike we stayed here for the last night we asked if we could put the motorbike somewhere safe and they accommodated us very well from the front of staff to the maintenance guy Paul and the night porter they was all brilliant to say the least the room was immaculate the pizza in the bar was probably one of the best we have ever had the Guinness was top notch and the bar staff was superb this is a super place to stay if you are in the area we will……

“The accommodations were as described. The location was perfect for our interests and trip purposes. The breakfast was cheap, stale and the milk expired the day after we arrived for a 4 day stay. ”

“Lovely little hotel, receptionist was efficient but very serious but check in was quick. Have to say the bar/dining staff have to be the happiest and most friendly I ever met!!! The food in the bar at dinner was super. Best Seafood Chowder I ever tasted. Pasta and salads and nachos all piping hot too and so tasty. Very reasonable prices for hotel stay and bar food. Covid regulations followed everywhere. Bedroom spotlessly clean. A few extra pillows and little milk cartons for cups of tea and I……
