The Georgian town of Richmond sits along the River Swale to the north (10.5 miles), with Nidderdale, the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors all within 15 miles. The local area hosts a wide choice of attractions including the Forbidden Corner, Middleham Castle, Jervaulx Abbey, and Constable Burton Hall and Gardens, all within 8 miles.
