“This is a student housing building, where apartments are being rented via an external company based in the UK; there is no lobby or person to ask for help on the premises. You have to pick up a key from a lockbox with a code, etc, which is an additional step. Also, the company requires you to share a photo of your ID in advance or else they threaten cancelling the booking. They sent me a wrong key pickup code once and I had to call a British phone number to get it sorted out. It is all doable,……

“The front desk staff were kind. The beds were new and comfortable. Clean. My only complaint about la Quinta’s is the use of styrofoam cups, plates and bowls — hot food on styrofoam is toxic.
