Away from other houses and professionally cleaned/disinfected after every stay. Warm up in the indoor pool and hot tub after fun day in snow (free access to the Lake view Hotel amenities). This gorgeous house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and is a two story layout with master bedroom suite on the first level. Stay fully connected with free high speed internet; don’t miss your shows and games with cable in every room. Beautiful 2 story living room with stone ornate fireplace. Family room and dining area also have fireplaces.

Spacious home to accommodate all your family and friends. The house is situated near Shantycreek legend golfcourse, it is also close to the prestigious Hawks Eye and Chief golf courses. Enjoy the access to the Shantycreek Resort amenities-Beach access to Lake Bellaire which links to other Chain of Lakes and rivers nearby (from Lake Bellaire, Intermediate Lake, Torch Lake and the Locks adjoining Grand Traverse Bay) - horseback riding and mountain biking trails on premises.

Boyne Mountain/Petoskey getaway
The house was perfect for a large family get together.The house was big enough to sleep 10 people comfortably with the additional folding beds provided. It was in a beautiful area with huge trees around. We felt safe all around. The furniture may need updating in the near future.

Lovely Home - Beautiful Location - NOT Clean
House is very cool! Location is perfect for decent privacy and a woodsy feel! We had a fire outside every night and loved it! Communication about check in and check out was easy and as expected. Unfortunately, cleanliness is a major issue when it comes to bedding and dishes. I had to strip the beds and go by laundry detergent to wash sheets. There was hair and other debris on the sheets in the master bedroom. I did not contact the owner about this, as it would have been more of an inconvenience to wait for someone to come take care of it. Fact of the matter is, this shouldn't have even been an issue to begin with. I would think that clean sheets would be a top priority. If the house keeping standards are raised and maintained I would definetly stay here again!

Ok stay.
Nice place but there were no clean sheets for the pullout beds or air mattresses and all of the blankets were rolled up in a ball and thrown in a corner- not folded and had a musty smell. There was only one full roll of toilet paper for two bathrooms and the hand soap was pure water. I we have never had this booking with VRBO before. Also we were not aware we couldn’t park our boats in the driveway so we had to find parking elsewhere.

Pretty disappointed
I messaged the host last week because I didn’t want to put a bad review here, but I never got a response. The house is up for sale and she never informed us of this. People were randomly showing up and this put a huge damper on our annual family vacation. This is the message I sent her: I wanted to send you a message instead of putting it on the VBRO feedback. Your place we stayed in was a good location and fit us comfortably. I am just really bummed that when we got there we had to clean. The floors were a mess so we vacuumed, cleaned the showers, and needed to change most the bedsheets and pillow cases. Being locked out was also a bummer, but I don't think it's anyone's fault for the batteries dying. We were able to sit outside once cleaning the furniture and deck off and we used the grill after we cleaned it as well. It was extremely dirty. Then the man with the window repair..... that really put a damper on the trip bc it was our last day there and we didn't want to leave with him being inside so much. Not only had I just woken up, but my son was only in his underwear when the man came and I don't appreciate that. We had the couple show up to meet a realtor which was embarrassing bc I was in my swimsuit, and then the heating and cooling guy came too. These things that happened shouldn't happen when we paid so much to stay for a family vacation and we are disappointed by all of this. I just wanted to tell you this way instead of posting as a review.

What a great family home! It was great for having kids and it served us very well. Close to everything. We are already planning for next year, minus the broken arm and broken thumb that 2 of us incurred!

Cabin in the woods
It was great, I loved the area the house was great. Beautiful view from all the windows. Close proximity to Shanty Creek, we walked a few times there or just around the neighborhood. Very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely consider staying there again.

Lovely Property
I really enjoyed my stay and would gladly stay again. However, there is hard/well water on the property and it is showing significant damage to some appliances. The coffee pot and dishwasher are definitely suffering and could use a good descaling. The water also made it hard to truly clean dishes and left a film on whatever we tried to handwash. The instructions regarding the pool towels (now in guest rooms) should be updated as well as instructions to light the fireplace. I believe these are simple enough fixes and I can say I slept. Better in this home than my own. It's quiet, peaceful and the views are stunning. It was great for a secluded girls trip. Loved how close town was and the views in Bellaire were stunning

Don't Do It
I have stayed at many VRBO's and this place is by far the worse i have been to. I don't normally complain but the cabin was dirty, sofas and carpets were filthy, urine stains on the bed mattresses; now i know why they didn't want us to take off the sheets like most places do; they had a 5 gallon bucket in the kitchen to catch the rain from the leaking roof. Broken kitchen chair for you to sit on, very dirty dishes and pots, we washed all the dishes, glasses, silverware and skillet before we even thought about to use them. There was dried food on the silverware. We had to wash the sheets and nasty comforters that were on the beds before we even slept in them. The kitchen table had a sticky residue on it so we went and bought a table cover for it. When you walked out into the garage it smelt like cat urine in there. We didn't get to watch any tv while we were there because there was no service, then they sent out the tv repair man on Sunday morning while we were trying to get ready and pack up now why wouldn't they send them after check out time? The fireplaces didn't work, so i had to call on this and the handyman came Saturday night to get them working. I would have never rented this place if I read the reviews a little closer. Oh and to top it off the driveway is damaged so you have to use the neighbors driveway to turn around and come in on the far left to pull into the drive so you don't fall into the hugh missing part of the driveway.

Property was extremely tired. Never received email with codes for the property until day of checkin after several requests for the promised email. Then once received the email the checkout time did not match what was on VRBO, confirmation email after booking, and what was posted in the house once we arrived. Finally got a hold by phone the representative of the property she wanted to know where this checkout information was with this time, she kept stating I needed to let her know so she could correct it! We felt she wanted to get the housekeepers in early. Not to mention steal an hour of our stay!! Would not rent this property again!!!

Family Getaway
This was our first experience with VRBO. The property is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by trees, and very quiet. The accommodations were very comfortable, but could use some updating, especially new bedding. The sheets were very clean, but the comforter in the master bedroom really should be replaced. The kitchen and bathrooms were also very clean. The outside deck could use a good powerwash and really needs to be painted. Overall our stay was very enjoyable and we made some great family memories. I look forward to returning next summer and would not hesitate to rebook this same location again.

The house easily accommodated eight adults and a couple of children. We used one deck (which needed cleaning before being able to use) for outside eating and game playing. The two living rooms provided additional recreational space. The pass to the indoor and outdoor pools was a real plus!

Poor customer service
Arrived to a house that had not been cleaned. Text property manager. No response. Called property manager and she answered. Cleaning crew arrived within an hour. Property manager stated she would reimburse a portion of the rental cost. Had to leave for a few hours while house was cleaned. Before Leaving marked all sheets and pillowcases as I had a feeling it would be a quick clean. It was. Didn’t change some of the pillowcases. Had a great time golfing! Contacted the property manager again after returning home to no avail. It’s been 5 days now. I didn’t figure she would keep her word. I held off writing this review to give her a chance to follow up with me. Still waiting.

Decent accommodations
We enjoyed our stay for a ski week-end. Had issues getting fireplaces going, but owner contacted maintenance for us and they were there and helped within the hour. The house has been used hard, but was clean and had what we needed. Kitchen was decently stocked. Layout of unit is a bit odd with access to the one family room only via the master bedroom. A Keurig would be a nice add and a set of mixing/serving bowls. Good location - about 10 minutes from Schuss Mountain Village/Cedar Village and less than 5 minutes to Shanty Creek/Lakeview Hotel.

House has many safety issues!
Sent a letter to the owners, not the address on the blank rental agreement had to go to the local Co. Country Clerks Office to get the correct address, owner never responded! We rented the house for a month wish we had not, ceiling beam coming down, floors bad, stair railing loose, grill not able to use, ceiling fans not working, A/C upstairs not working. plumbing in bathrooms needs attention, garage door opens by itself, hid-a-bed wouldn't work, and the list goes on for two pages! Do yourself a big favor pick a different place!

The property was a safety nightmare.the lights where you enter the house (garage) were not working. And there was a big step down that you couldn’t see. The kitchen table was sticker to the touch. We covered with a blanket. I lit the outside grill. As it warmed up the built up grease all over it burst into flames. I had to pull it away from the wood railing and go find a fire extinguisher to put the fire out.. I took a picture and sent it to the owner but never heard a word back. I come to this area every year, but I won’t be back to this house.

Great Place
This was an overall great stay! Could you an extra cleaning in some areas but great stay! Owners were quick to help. Fireplaces do work, you might just need to light the pilot! Thanks for a great stay!
