“We paid, and received a receipt from, VRBO and then received two or more confirmation messages from Evolve, the listing agent. The “manager” never responded to calls, email or texts until we were halfway through a 6 hour drive down with our two horses, for a show, and dogs in our truck/ trailer. She then told us she owned the property and no longer rented it through Evolve/VRBO. We desperately notified VRBO who found us a hotel room that takes dogs, but we had to find a place for our horses. “Me and my wife had a weekend stay on Lake Pinehurst for my birthday. The condo had a wonderful view directly on Lake Pinehurst. There was more than enough room. The owner responds to messages very quickly which makes the stay more comfortable. I definitely recommend others to stay here if you enjoy being on the lake, wonderful view, and VERY peaceful. ”

“I'm not in the business of leaving bad reviews, and I have to say the views were absolutely great. However, the cleanliness of the house left a lot to be desired. The balcony was full of cigarette butts and hadn't been cleaned, with spider webs everywhere. In Bedroom #2, where I stayed, the bed covers and pillows were stained. Additionally, the blinds were on the floor when I checked in, and I had to put them back on the frame myself.”
