We needed a cheap 1 night stay before our early flight and decided on this hotel. For the price, this hotel is a good choice. Not what i would usually choose (they've obviously done a refurb of most rooms but in the more traditional, older style) but definitely good value for money. The pool seemed to have been newly decked and looked nice! Some of the bathrooms had been newly installed and more modern, whereas my room (which had a bath) had just been “touched up”, but was bigger than others. Swings and roundabouts.
The staff were really lovely, very helpful and friendly and great english (thankfully for us)! The guy even called me after my booking to confirm i definitely wanted 3 rooms (in case of a mistake) and was very helpful with my other questions. The 2 staff we met seemed to “care”, which is rare now days.
Note - the room we had at the front had some noise from the Sunday market setting up early and a second room at the back was noisy next to the lift. If we had stayed for longer, this would have bothered me, but we were only there 1 night.
Overall, i was pleasantly surprised with the hotel and would be a good choice for this price bracket in Bergerac! :)
