I had a very frustrating experience with the self check-in process. The hotel sent multiple emails with instructions on how to use the self check-in machine, but when I entered my surname and booking number, the machine said “reservation not found.” I was traveling with luggage and two children, and had to go to another building, only to be told my reservation wasn’t there either. I had to go all the way back to the first building again.
Eventually, I found an emergency contact number and called. A woman answered and was able to solve the issue, which I appreciate. However, when I asked her why the machine didn’t work, she was rude and unprofessional. This made an already stressful situation even worse.
The hotel really needs to improve its check-in process and customer service. This was not the kind of welcome I expected.
