“This place was absolutely perfect in every way! From the moment we pulled into the drive we were in love. The drive to the cabin displayed a tree canopy, the cabin had everything we needed and in great, clean condition. I definitely over packed. The inside was little, but perfect for us. The outside view was breathtaking and we could view it from the entire back of the cabin. Sliding glass doors with screens even in the bedroom over looked the private lake. “We were in town for a 2 day volleyball tournament. We booked this place because it was reasonably priced and only 10 minutes from Gallipolis and 20 minutes from The Root gym. The only thing that could have been better was warmer weather to sit out on the deck. The cabin was beautiful on the inside, perfect for our quick stay and the beds were super cozy. The hostess and her family are absolutely the sweetest and our homemade breakfast that they delivered was delicious!! We will stay here again……

“We really liked all the animals that come to visit. Never seen a groundhog before in my life but we had one that came by the house a few times so it was cool. The deer are everywhere, and very tame so please be careful and watch for them if you drive in the area. The restaurants in the area are very unique and super good. Try Rio bravo Mexican restaurant and the Chinese buffet in Mason West Virginia over the bridge. The landlord is a super sweet lady very knowledgeable of the area. We slept well……

“The property was very nice physically, everything in the listing was accurate. Beds were good, hot tub was very nice. A few small issues keep it from being 5 star. There was nothing in the kitchen except salt and pepper and a tiny bit of coffee. No ice trays, no water pitcher, so the only water to drink was straight out of the tap. There was not enough soap, and the property manager basically told us "sorry, not coming out to fix that." One upstairs bathroom had extremely low water pressure.……

“The cabin was comfortable and very cute. The only thing that upset me was that the water was unsafe- even when put in the Brita Filter. It smelled strongly of metal and when I rinsed out a cup that had had it in it, it had a red/brown residue. So we had to buy water to wash hands and drink etc. But the area is really beautiful and I understand we're in the woods. It's a very comfy spot.”
