Lovely mountain getaway
Our mountain getaway was a mixed bag of breathtaking views and a few minor inconveniences. The drive up to the VRBO was absolutely stunning, with winding roads showcasing the beauty of the surrounding mountains. However, I'd strongly recommend arriving before dark, as navigating those roads at night could be a bit daunting.The house itself was truly stunning – spacious, beautifully designed, and perfect for a relaxing retreat. The hot tub was a welcome addition, though the water could have used a bit of cleaning as it was a little cloudy. We also felt a bit uneasy that the door leading out to the deck and hot tub only had an inside click lock, and not a deadbolt, for added security.Unfortunately, the beds were not particularly comfortable, which impacted our overall sleep quality. To add to this, the listed firepit appeared to be located on a neighboring property, so we were unable to use it. Despite these minor issues, the location and the house's aesthetic were undeniable highlights. If you're looking for a scenic mountain escape, this VRBO is worth considering, just be sure to arrive before dark, perhaps bring some extra mattress toppers, and don't count on using the firepit! We enjoyed our stay, but with a few adjustments, it could have been perfect.
