Comfortable stay

Pretty good in all aspects. But there are clogged drains in the shower room and for the bathroom sink. Probably the main drain is clogged? Other than that, this stay is very good.

AC was out there was no towels in my hotel room and the hygiene products wasn't swapped out. Only one person to check in for busy labor day weekend so when i went down and requested towels some was suppose be sent up never happened. I also ended up with resort fees and others fees which was mentioned. The day before I call i guess the big bear lodge hotline ans asked about a deposit she told me there wasn't which I was suprised. Yet when i checked my bank account had almost 100 worth of charges added to my expedia booking charge If your on a tight budget and just need a place to stay thats convenient go for it, but if you have a little extra money book somewhere else I slept horribly both nights the only positives was the bed appeared to be cleaned. Overall dissatisfied with this stay in the end I found they are currently in transition of getting new owners so hopefully they give the plave the facelift it deeply needs.

Unfortunately it wasn’t a great stay. The best part about the hotel was the location & that’s really it. You can walk to the downtown area. Other than that the AC didn’t work our whole stay, the Cable did not work either.

I could agree with this hotel being what it is at a lower price point. The rooms are old, showers are old, everything is old and drying out. When we arrived, we were informed that the AC was not working in the whole hotel. We agreed to check in, having arrived at nearly 1800 and my mother in law with us. We figured okay, it's Big Bear, we can open the windows, it gets cool at night. We were put on the 2nd floor, because they explained the 3rd and 4th floor were hot because of the AC. It was not the AC that was the problem. Later in the evening around 2200, my mother in law had already fallen asleep, we went to shower and discovered the shower nozzle was either broken or not working correctly, and the party that was going on when we arrived was still raging on loudly, despite the hotel sign indicating that quiet hours already began. I called the front desk and the only thing they could offer was to change rooms, because their maintenance went home for the night. I declined since my mother in law was already sleeping.. They also informed me the party was supposed to last until midnight. How would changing rooms help - it would still be noisy. The party went on til 0100, and also stirring the whole night from the loud music and cars outside. The hotel refused any type of credit. No prior notice to the guests either about the loud party that went on past hours. Their customer service sucks. This room was $360 for one night. What a joke. Never again.

When we arrived, we found out the whole Hotel’s air-conditioning system was out and would not be repaired till the morning. They did provide us with a Phan. It was difficult to get my mom in and out of the hotel as their ADA elevator was also broke and the only way to get to the other elevator was for her to walk down stairs. It was warm during the day because it was summer to the point of uncomfortable, but in the evening it was nice and cold with the windows open and the fan going so we went ahead and stayed as the room has been prepaid for. when I checked out, they did not charge my room to my bank for almost a month.

Feels like a cheap motel. The staff we encountered was nice. But there’s no AC. Our room was at a constant 75 to 77 degrees. They recommend we “open a window” but we were on the ground floor leading into the open patio area so it’s not like we can leave that open that long. Especially not ideal when you have a toddler like we do.

This is a very well located property, unfortunately, the AC was not working for the hole hotel, this was very uncomfortable, and to make it worse there was no hot water in the shower. Will not be booking here again.

Overall, it was okay. We booked this hotel for one night as part of a cross country trip, and upon arrival we were told that there was no air conditioning in the rooms. There was a big disclaimer letting you know before you check in, however, we had booked it months prior and had just driven 4 hours in a storm to get there, so what were we going to do at that point. I was hoping for some sort of credit, but nothing was offered and the woman at the front desk wasn’t very friendly or apologetic. We made do but we had to borrow a fan and sleep with the door to the balcony open, which wasn’t ideal. Most Holiday Inns have free breakfast, but there was just coffee, which was kind of disappointing. On the plus side, it was clean and convenient to town and there is plenty of parking.

No airconditioning, the jacuzzi was cold everyday we tried to use it. They refused to provide an itemized billing invoice to me when I checked out. They said Expedial would provide. They have a pending charge of approximately $75.00 more than my reservation quote with Expedia. If the final charge is more I will be calling Expedia for a refund. Very disappointed this time at this Holiday Inn Resort

The room had no air and srayed at 80 degrees. The pool was cold and dirty the jacuzzi was ice cold . We had to have the t.v. ,refrigerator serviced. The shower took 15 minutes to drain. However under the circumstances the staff was very helpful and pleasant. .

Clearly a great property that is going downhill. My room had a broken shower. My friends room had a door that dragged on the flooring and made noise. It seemed like many of the rooms were out of commission due lack of investment to keep them in good condition.
