“The house and accommodations are wonderful! I’m sure when there aren’t floods and high waters, the lake is beautiful too. My daughter loved the loft room that is spacious and great for a pre-teen! We had a couple of beautiful days to enjoy some cave tours and hiking at Mammoth Cave. The unfortunate flooding caused closures in the parks our last day. . We would definitely return!!”

“My husband and I stayed a few days with our teens and dog. The property is beautiful! We all enjoyed hiking over the 75 acres. The self made map was so helpful. Our tween daughter was our navigator on our hike and managed the map easily. Our dog loved the freedom of exploring with us. We did manage to make it to Mammoth Cave and it was a fun trip. Spent the rest of our short trip grilling and playing games. Definitely recommend! ”

“Property was listed as 16 miles from mammoth cave park Would be vital to add that it is actually 42 minutes We had additional family in cave city, which was a haul for them with their young children Both grills are unusable We loved the room and outside areaDinosaur World was fun for the kids Lost river cave was worth the trip as well as Kentucky down under ”

“You wouldn’t know this bungalow is just a block from anything you would need in the way of groceries, shopping, restaurants. Very clean. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is, other than a great assortment of pots, pans, skillets, and knives, there was nothing else to cook with. No mixing/serving bowls, no bakeware, very little flatware. I was constantly washing dishes (we ate all our meals in). I had to buy a can opener which I left for the next guest. But we made do and really enjoyed our stay.……

“Spring break trip to Mammoth cave with my daughters. Holley Hideaway was a great place to stay. Enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and the friendly cats. ”

“The property we rented had some flooding, but we were given a replacement property, so that was good. We, were just there to sleep. On that note, the beds were uncomfortable and covered in plastic .”

“It is a very cute and cozy house. The view of the water was beautiful and we even collected some wood to Have a fire on the patio in the fireplace. Pretty secluded so make sure you get food to cook before you start your trip to the property there is not a lot of anything close by. ”
