“It was only an overnight stay, and the room was a bit spartan. However, it was quite clean and everything worked well. One a very minor problem, as noted by others, is that the toilet required a long flush or multiple flushes. My problem is that I forgot to ask for additional towels. I checked in at night and by the time I noticed that I need extra towels, I didn't think anyone would be around who could fulfill that request.”

“You won’t find a better property in chimney rock. They did a great job with the updates to the grounds and the rooms. The “backyard” is amazing. The only negative to come by is the $50 charge to check in early. $50 for a couple hours? If the room is ready, let the guests in! I know it’s policy and I get it. Lots of hotels try it, just pet peeve of mine when traveling. Again though, just an amazing spot!”

“There is much character to be experienced and enjoyed here, including in the rooms themselves, which have wood paneling and tiling that have not changed in decades! Hopefully it stays this way. The front desk employee mentioned that a renovation is soon to begin. I hate to think that any of the hotel's distinctive features will be compromised or lost to history. The only real downside of my stay was spotty internet connectivity, but I'm willing to chalk this up to the sort of period,……
