“Our stay at Canyon Lake Resort fulfilled its objective as a quiet, clean, safe place to stay while we visited the Rapid City-area attractions. The motel lacked amenities you might find at a hotel, particularly regarding walkable restaurants or coffee shops, but those were only a drive away.”

“It was a pity I was only here one night because I loved this place. Beautiful location surrounded by forest and with a view of Mount Rushmore from the room too. I felt at peace there. Dinner at the pub there was reasonably priced too and it was lovely to sit outside on the verandah enjoying both the meal and the view. There was also a good choice of breakfast which was included. ”

“Spent one night here with 5 adults. Home was very clean and as described. As is common in European homes and apartments, there was a staircase - this one being mildly circular. If you are elderly or have physical limitations, getting up and down with suitcases could be a little challenging. We put my elderly mother in the downstairs bedroom to avoid any possible falls. There is no living room but there is a dining room to gather. While the house is located near the main tourist area of……
