If you're looking for peaceful seclusion, this forest cabin is the perfect place to unwind and escape from the daily stresses of life. You can sit out on the spacious deck and take in the quiet sounds of nature, or hop in the private hot tub and relax as you appreciate the gorgeous views of the forest. Bring your canine friend to this dog-friendly home and let him or her roam the property, then spend the night curled up at this perfect Blairsville home-away-from-home.

Surrounded by forests and mountains, this home has easy access to hiking trails and breathtaking scenery. You only have to drive 4.5 miles to reach the famous Appalachian Trail at the Hogpen Gap! If you feel like going back into civilization for a moment, you can drive 11.8 miles north to downtown Blairsville or 15.1 miles south to Helen. Blairsville is home to Butternut Creek Golf Course and a large variety of restaurants and shops. Helen hosts more cultural and active attractions, such as the Arts & Heritage Center and Helen Tubing & Waterpark.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our time at this cabin. The check-in/out process was easy. The cabin had all the necessities. It was super clean and more than what we expected.We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub, but I really enjoyed sitting in front of the gas logs.

Good the cabin was clean the hottub was hot the beds were comfy,great shower. A couple things were broken like coffee maker, and trash can. Next time im definitely not going in the snow haha driveway was something else

Perfect stay for our daughters birthday!

We had a great stay! Cabin has everything you need. The hot tub was already warm when we got there, our girls immediately got in and loved it. The space was perfect for the 4 of us. The communication was probably the best we've ever had with renting. Vacassa was in contact and very informative throughout our stay! One small note, the driveway up is pretty steep. Wasn't a problem for us with our truck, but feel it is something nice to know ahead of time 😊

Peaceful

This cabin was super cute, quiet, and peaceful! It was very clean and well kept. We only stayed for a couple days, but wished we could have stayed longer! It it very convenient to beautiful hiking trails and of course the cute town of Helen. Would definitely recommend this property! I’m hoping to bring my whole family back next time!

Cozy stay on the mountains

Great 3 night stay. The driveway is steep but not as scary as a lot of the comments make it sound. Lots of stairs and up and downs if that's a problem for you - it wasn't for us. The hot tub was nice and clean for an older hot tub. Hope you're not afraid of dogs as you will get daily visits from random dogs at the front door and campfire. The cabin was nice and cozy. Housekeeping could have done a little better as there were beer caps and random trash throughout the porch and property. It is a cozy property and a great place to make memories with friends and family. The cabin had toiletries and a fully stocked kitchen if you decide to stay in and cook. I really wish there were blinds on the front and back door for privacy. It looks like there was at one time but you can see straight in and out at night. The wooden pull downs on the other windows didn't offer much privacy as you could see through them inside and outside at night as well. The views are nice but more on the woodsy vibe. It is 7 minutes away from beautiful overview stop off where you can see the sunrise over the mountains. I would highly recommend to do that. We had a great stay and would recommend this cabin.

Almost Perfect

The property is as advertised: wooden floors, gas fireplace, comfortable bedding, functional AC/heat, clean hot tub, and outdoor firepit. The reason I titled this review “almost perfect” is for 2, albeit minor, reasons. 1) The inside of the property was very clean, but there were 4 small green bags left on the back patio full of old dog poop. It made for a nice laugh, but other guests may find it gross. Hopefully this review will serve as a reminder to the cleaning crew to double check the patio. 2) It’s a pretty steep incline going up to the property. Thankfully the main road (Papas Mountain Rd) is paved, but some gravel from the property’s driveway had spilled onto the road and resulted in some uneasy arrivals. Another thing to note, you will have to take Richard Russell Scenic Highway in order to get to Helen. This is an extremely curvy road with steep drops on the sides and lots of up and down. It is beautiful when the weather is nice, but rather intense when the weather is bad. Keep that in mind when picking a vehicle for your trip. My 2019 Toyota 4Runner had no issues.

Just what we were looking for

Perfect little cabin for a family recharge. Jacuzzi was a treat and we also loved making s’mores at the firepit. Only “complaint” is that every sound upstairs carried through the whole house, but that’s just part of the cabin experience.

Great cabin and location but be aware of a very steep driveway!

Overall I loved the cabin and location. It was very clean and comfortable. All of the basic things and then some were stocked in the kitchen and bedrooms. Beds were extremely comfy! Just be prepared for a very steep driveway.

Secluded and Very peaceful

Nice cabin, My sister and I hike throughout the year and have stayed in many cabins and really enjoyed the peacefulness of this cabin (only 3 on the street) and the gated entrance to road for security. Would have liked some plastic glasses to be able to take to the fire pit and outside and not have to worry about breaking since all were glass.

The property was amazing. Very clean and inviting. Hot tub was a great time. Extremely cozy is what some guests said. All amenities are in the cabin is what i like as well. Would love to come back to stay again. Power outlet in back patio isn't working and slow drain in lower bathroom sink. Are the only minor issues I experienced.

Dog friendly and secluded. Overall a nice place to stay. I was a little disappointed with the attention to the bedding . There was hair in the sheets in all the beds. I had to wash the bedding. Other than that it was a good place to get away. Close to all the hiking trails, great BBQ and Vogel State Park. (*Vacasa was willing to bring new bedding. I had already taken care of the situation. I just wanted to inform Vacasa for house keeping purposes.)

Fishing trip

The property was quite, clean and comfortable. Close to all of the points of interest to fish. The only problem was the steep driveway and entrance to the house drive; had to go wide or pull up to next house and drive in the other way. The steep walk to fire pit was a hit hard too, but all able to be worked around. Truly enjoyed our stay.

North Georgia vacation 2021

North Georgia vacation 2021 We chose this property because it had allowed the number of dogs we needed as well as the hot tub. Upon arriving we realized that although the cabin is pet friendly it is not dog friendly as the entire property is on a slope making it nearly impossible to walk dogs. Beyond that the cabin is absolutely beautiful and perfect for a secluded getaway. It possesses all the amenities of home and with the tin roof and the amount of rain we got during our stay it was more therapeutic then you can possibly imagine. The cabin was extremely clean and is actually in a great location where you can have multiple options once you leave the driveway either going to Helen or going to Blairsville with each being around 30 minutes or less. We truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back maybe next year.

Beautiful cabin

Two enjoyable porches and jacuzzi. Firewood provided. Nice location. Only 1 mile from Helton Creek Falls. Beds were a little too soft. The fire pit is nice but hard to get up and down the hill.
