“Unique property, would be great for extended remote-work stay given the office. Plenty of space for kids in the lower level. Location right downtown is conducive to walking - and the lake view is great.”

“We had a great time together at this house. The house was cozy and had lots of spaces for lounging together which is what we wanted! Beds were comfortable. The yard also had a lovely covered spot with a table where we spent lots of time. The one bummer was that we chose this place for the lake access. The listing failed to share that there was no lake access. It said “lakeside” and “lake view” but didn’t say that we couldn’t get to the lake from the house and that was one of the primary reasons……

“My mom and I stayed here while we were in town for a book signing. It's an old home that has been upgraded, but still feels unique (the floors are beautiful). It's the perfect size for 2-3 people. The heat lamp in the bathroom is great. Nice quiet neighborhood and within walking distance to downtown and the library! Fair warning that the washer and dryer are not free (coin-operated), so if you had a longer stay, be prepared for that! ”

“The house was older, but somewhat updated. The house was older but safe and secure. It was a bit dirty when we arrived, the counters, floors, frig, stove and tables were dirty. There were many finishing touches that were not done in the house, and it just seemed to be rushed through. We have stayed in many VRBO properties, and this one was at the bottom of that list. Overall, it was a good stay, but I don't think we'll be back. ”

“We enjoyed our stay at the Midwest modern home in Austin, MN. Communication with owner was quick and easy. We appreciated the extra towels we requested! Thank you. A couple of thoughts, though. We could only find a partial roll of TP … not enough for 2 people for 3 days. A grab bar in the shower would be a nice safety feature, as would a rail on the back step. Getting in and out with our luggage was tricky! ”

“Okay. So this house is owned by someone who no longer lives in MN. A cleaning company/person was hired to clean the house but when we got there the house was clean in the sense that there wasn’t trash or belongings everywhere but the house was filthy in the sense that there were cobwebs everywhere, literally everywhere. Dust on everything. The beds didn’t have proper sheets on them and some had holes. The freezer had items that looked old and gross. I informed the property owner so she was aware……
