The location of the units is unbeatable for convenience to anything in downtown Blowing Rock. It is very nice to be able to walk to restaurants and other attractions, as during busy times, parking can be difficult to obtain around town.”

“Grapevine Cottage is a genuine mountain cottage, not a spec builder's 2020 reproduction. It is cozy and well furnished. The owner has done an incredible job of adding modern conveniences such as Jacuzzi bathtub, outdoor hot tub, dishwasher, microwave, etc. without detracting from the cozy cottage ambience. The weather was terrible, so we spent a lot of time in front of the fireplace watching TV, playing board games, or reading. It was very relaxing and peaceful. There were starter supplies……

“Property was easy to find and cute. Host was easy to communicate with. It is 2 story, which was detailed. Downstairs, the only TV and sitting area is in daybed room off kitchen. We spent a lot of time at dining table as family since that was only area downstairs to sit together while cooking and such.Please note, living room is upstairs with TV.House was clean and had all we needed. The only negative was island in kitchen. It was wooden and lots of food buildup in cracks.Bathrooms, beds all……

“This cabin is full of interesting details and the view is stunning. It’s right around the corner from the Appalachian ski mountain. We all learned to ski and were able to warm up by the fire each night with a hot tea each night with the electric tea kettle. We had a wonderful family trip!”

“Met some family in blowing rock to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. Went on some awesome hikes with the dogs, had some fabulous lunches and dinner at Gideons ridge the final night. We hosted dinner one night and found the house is stocked well enough except for some additional wine glasses and some serving platters. But we made do. Home is tucked in a commercial Setting but very quiet and the house is lovely. Easy walk into town from the back side. ”

There was stocked fire wood which we were appreciative of and the kitchen is very well stocked - could put some additional garbage bags. The only bathroom on the first floor is through the master bedroom and could have disclosed this. The master bathroom had mold around the caulking and the sink took hours to drain - it was gross. “tried to walk to App Ski mountain on a dangerous curvy, two lane road with no path, and cars speeding by. It is next to the ski slopes if you go across someone elses property up a cliff and through woods across the street. Also, very low water pressure for showers. Very clean and comfortable. Good furnishings. Creaky beds. small driveway was a hill and very difficult to navigate and dangerous at the end (dont fall off the cliff) . cannot fit more than two cars safely. ”
