Unsafe, poorly maintained home, serious hazards and no accountability
We booked this property expecting a safe, family-friendly stay, but unfortunately our experience was the opposite. The home is in disrepair and posed life-threatening hazards. Most alarmingly, a 100 lb barn door came crashing down on our four year old daughter. Thankfully, she was not seriously injured, but the outcome could have been catastrophic.In addition to this, we found a nail sticking out an inch on the staircase, a large gap on the balcony railing where a child could easily fall 25 feet, and unsanitary conditions (dirty bedding we had to wash ourselves, chipped dishes and glasses, and dangerously worn cookware). The patio furniture was moldy and broken, the sofas and theater chairs were old and peeling, and overall the home felt neglected and unsafe.When we raised these issues, management minimized the situation. While they had no problem delivering 2 new TVs, coffeemaker, and bulbs during our stay, they failed to address the most critical issue: guest safety. Even after the door incident, they offered no meaningful remedy or accountability and deflected responsibility back to Vrbo support.This home may look nice in photos, but it has not been properly maintained or inspected. It should not be rented to unsuspecting families in its current condition. For the safety of future guests, I strongly recommend avoiding this property until significant repairs and professional inspections are completed.
