While the cottage itself is also a haven for wildlife as it is surrounded by woodland and located just off a single-track road with red squirrels, birds, and deer visiting the attractive gardens.
The popular town of Boat of Garten is close by with excellent restaurants and pubs, the area is surrounded by bike trails and quiet roads suitable for mountain and road bikes with several bike hire shops in the local area. Other attractions locally are the Highland Wildlife Park at Kincraig, 2 km zip wire at Kincraig and Landmark Adventure Centre at nearby Carrbridge.
The cottage is 25 miles from Inverness and is a great base for joining the spectacular North Coast 500 route around the north of Scotland.
