This freshly renovated, high-tech luxury estate with AC in Bodega Harbour offers spectacular ocean views and accommodates 14 sleeping places (NO bunk beds) including 4 twins. The property features three suites (with bathrooms)—one with a raised floor providing an ocean view—plus two additional bedrooms, totaling 4.5 bathrooms. Among the bedrooms, the theater room doubles as a sleeping area for three. The estate includes a double kitchen and is situated on a spacious triple-sized lot within the Bodega Harbour Country Golf Club, boasting expansive views of the Pacific Ocean.
This unique, multi-level property spans over 3300 sq. ft. and features a dining table that comfortably seats 12 people, providing ample space for everyone to spread out and relax.
The entry level features a Cape Cod suite with a king bed and private bathroom, along with two additional bedrooms that offer access to a large private patio and hot tub. The Garden bedroom includes a king bed and a stand-up desk, while the Theater bedroom is equipped with two chair beds, each converting into a single twin bed and single narrow twin. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom on this level.
The next level houses the expansive double kitchen and dining room, truly accommodating 12 diners (14 diners if you have to), alongside a convenient half bath near the dining area. A few steps up from the dining space is the living room, with a pleasant sun deck. Ascend a few more steps to find the pool table loft and the Hoso suite, which includes a king-size bed and a twin daybed along with a full bathroom.
The Rapunzel suite, situated on the top floor, features its own full bathroom and accommodates four guests with a king-size bed and a queen bed on an elevated platform, accessible by three steps and offering a scenic view. Switi Hoso’s solar system comprises an 8KW photovoltaic (PV) array with battery backup, effectively mitigating energy consumption. Furthermore, six hot water solar panels store heat in a hot water tank, preheating shower water and heating the residence during the evening. Mini splits are strategically installed in each room, providing both air conditioning during hot summer days and enhanced heating efficiency by 300% in the winter. Notably, Switi Hoso achieved a remarkable 86% self-sufficiency rating last year. In the event of a power outage, a pellet stove serves as a reliable backup heating source.
Technology features:
1) Tesla (NEMA 14-50) charger or Level 2 EV Charger (240 V 32 A) powered by an 8KW solar system.
2) Backup battery for the house against power outages (common in Bodega Bay).
3) High speed internet (100Mbps download) for multiple simultaneous movie streaming and good WiFi coverage of the property.
4) Three large screen TVs all able to provide Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming in 3 rooms simultaneously. The 300 SF surround sound Home Theater room has 2 reclining sofas + 2 chair beds that open to single beds and 1 single bed. With Surround sound this home theater TV have access to movies in addition to Amazon and Netflix.
Because the city water taste on the coast is poor, we added a 5 stage water filter for drinking water.
No pet animals, as the owner has allergies. (HEPA filters throughout the house)
Guest access: Smart Lock. A personal private access code is provided prior to arrival. The code stays active during your stay.
Note: Once you make a reservation, we will send you a link to the contract that summarizes the rules such as no parties, no pets, no smoking, not sublet any part of the house, and HOA and county regulations regarding noise and parking. Please review the contract within 8 hours for any clarification, and return the signed contract at least a week before your reservation with the names of your guests so we can confirm your guest names if security contacts us.
Legal Notice: The property has a front door camera. For the purpose of ensuring your identity and compliance with Sonoma County regulations regarding age and authenticity, a copy of your Guest’s Legal Photo ID (driver’s license or passport) is required upon submission of our booking contract.
Sonoma County strictly limits the occupancy of vacation rental premises to 12 guests at any given time. Children under the age of three are exempt from this limit. The additional beds provided are offered for flexibility.
Sonoma County has implemented stringent noise regulations, prohibiting the use of amplified sound and enforcing quiet hours from 9 PM to 7 AM. Additionally, the maximum number of vehicles permitted on-site is six.
In the event of a declared emergency, guests are required to vacate the premises as soon as a “Voluntary Evacuation Order” is issued.
