Let's start with the good stuff: the location of the hotel. It is just off the Via d'Independenzia and not too far from the Neptune Fountain, so it is pretty central. Of course, that does mean it is about a 20 minute walk to the railway station. There seems to be a great restaurant in the street, judging by the length of the queues. I found the nearest supermarket to be a ten minute walk. The staff at reception were extremely friendly and helpful; they were able to speak English well.
I had a budget single room with no natural light coming into the room, so this made it quite gloomy. The bed was comfortable. For a single room, it was of good size.
There was a bedside cabinet, a large wardrobe with safe, a table on which was the television, and an easy chair. The room was carpeted. Of importance, in the summer, there is air-conditioning in the room.
The en-suite bathroom was up a step and had a combined bidet and shower. The bathroom had a tiled floor.
A big drawback of the hotel is its single small lift - allow plenty of time for your journey! Breakfast was an extra ten euros and I decided not to take that option. There is also a tourist tax in addition to your bill.
I think it's adequate for a day, but I wouldn't want to stay longer, although I did, unfortunately!
