“Extremely nice facility! Plenty of room for a large group. Well stocked with all the supplies needed. It was very icy weather when we arrived in January ( of course - it's Colorado), therefore being located at a high altitude we had a little trouble getting up the road leading to the cabin. But the neighbors were excellent to help us. Really good neighborhood, very friendly and willing to help us in any way. Neighbors even loaned us snow sleighs to use. Owners were very nice, and good……

“We found this CUTE Tiny Home and planned our vacation around it. There’s Trinidad Lake and Raton Mesa near it. The town has lots of shopping! We loved Mutiny and Whispering Wind. We drove a couple hours to see the Great Sand Dunes where we rented a sled at a fantastic vodka distillery called Dune Valley Distillery. We also visited Desert Reef Hot Springs. Everyday we came back exhausted to our perfect Tiny Home! We were able to eat home cooked meals the whole time. It was perfect! I even……

“We celebrated our third trip to the cabin for Christmas and New Year’s Eve…. No words can describe the magic we shared! Thank you to our host for providing the setting to our most memorable family holiday ever. The stars…. The Christmas dusting of snow…. The sunrises!!! This cabin gives EVERYTHING ”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin outside of Trinidad. It is very, very small, but it suited our needs. The hostess left snacks, fruit, muffins, and a bottle of wine for us when we arrived, which we really appreciated. We often sat out on the large covered deck to enjoy a great view of the lake, which was what we were aiming for. (You cannot enjoy this view from inside unless you are sitting at the kitchen bar. But that was ok with us, because we had pretty good weather for sitting……

Things I wish I would have known ahead of time: no WiFi on property (which makes tv unusable unless you have cell service up there - we did not), no washer/dryer, no dishwasher, gas fireplace doesn’t work, and minimal indoor lighting. “Cabin is very cute but ultimately for only 2 people. I requested a VRBO for 4 people in my search engine and this cabin populated that it could accommodate 4 people. Luckily only 3 of us traveled and the owner reached out to me (which was very nice ) so we brought our blow up mattress. The cot that was provided would not have been comfortable for my 18 year old. I’m also grateful the owner communicated the sleeping arrangements but like I mentioned, this cabin should really be under the “2……

“We have stayed at this cabin several times and already have our next trip booked!! This place is for the nature lovers 🌲 the ones who do NOT want to be connected to a TV or phone 😊 Great trails on the property to go explore and listen to the wind blow through the trees. Terrific deck with lots of seating to enjoy the view of the Spanish Peaks! Craig and Judy are exceptional hosts and always take great care of us! ”

“The cabin is lovely and relaxing. It is isolated enough to enjoy the solitude of the land around you without being far from a neighbor. The location was perfect for us who had family staying at different venues from a hotel in Trinidad to camper camping at the creek a couple of miles up the road. Of the different cabin type places to stay - this one is exceptionally lovely. We would definitely stay again.”

“Comfortable mountain duplex but needed to be thoroughly cleaned. A few things needed to be repaired. The kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals. We would stay there again though since it’s near the lakes.”

“Thank you to the property owners for having this property available. I can see from the listing pictures that the owners have changed some furniture (chairs, bed frame) but we loved the layout of the cabin, the furniture is sturdy, taken care of and in good condition. They were readily available-met us when we parked at the lodge to escort us to our cabin; brought us extra towels, TP, soap when asked. We definitely recommend staying at this property, and would be happy to stay in any other……
