About this space
The Boonton Revival is an updated 100 year-old home located within walking distance of historic Main Street, quaint restaurants, and unique shops. The nearby train and bus stations can connect to NYC Port Authority (7th Ave) in one hour. Newark Liberty Airport is a 30-minute ride and you can be to the Jersey Shore in an hour from here! The property owner is an avid gardener and guests are welcome to admire the koi pond and sample in-season vegetables.
The space
Restore, renew, recycle, reuse, revive! The Boonton Revival has been almost entirely furnished and decorated with items purchased from thrifting. Many thanks to the staffs of Habit for Humanity (especially Jay, Maryanne, and Peter), the folks at Goodwill, and my favorite pirate Joe and the girls at Salvation Army.
Guest access
Guests have use of the home's two floors. Rooms include an enclosed porch, living room, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, dedicated work space, and bathroom. There is also an outdoor patio space specifically for guests. This area has seating, a table, barbecue grill, and outdoor heating lamp.
Additionally, there is a backyard that is shared with the owner, Eugene. Please admire this space respectfully as Eugene is an avid gardener and Koi pond Dad.
Other things to note
Please keep in mind that this house is very old. For the first part of its life, guests used an outhouse in the backyard. Thankfully there is now indoor plumbing, however the bathroom is located upstairs and it is small. if you have trouble navigating stairs, the Boonton Revival may not be a good fit for you.
