Welcome to “On the Harbor,” a premier waterfront vacation rental in downtown Boothbay Harbor, Maine. This beautifully restored historic 1870 sea captain’s home offers unbeatable harbor views, elegant coastal charm, and walkable access to restaurants, shops, art galleries, and boat tours—all just steps from your door.
Perfect for families and groups, this spacious Boothbay Harbor rental home sleeps 8 and features 3 bedrooms, a finished attic loft with twin beds, and 3.5 bathrooms. Guests can enjoy original architectural details, modern amenities, and curated décor that blend together for an authentic Maine coastal getaway.
The home’s large living room boasts panoramic harbor views, a 43” smart TV, and opens onto a deck directly overlooking the water—perfect for morning coffee or sunset cocktails. A fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances and a drip coffee maker makes dining in easy, while the formal dining room (seating 8) and breakfast nook (seating 4) provide plenty of room to gather.
Upstairs, the captain’s suite features a king-size bed, smart TV, harbor views, and a luxurious ensuite with walk-in shower. Two queen bedrooms—one with a hand-painted mural and the other with local photography—share a charming bath with a classic clawfoot tub and shower.
The finished basement offers a retreat for kids or evening entertainment, with a 55” smart TV, sectional sofa, game table, record player, and a kitchenette. It also includes a full bath with walk-in shower and a laundry area with washer/dryer for your convenience. Outside, the lower deck is a peaceful spot to relax and watch the boats drift by.

House Rules & Helpful Info
-Trash & Recycling: Please remove all trash, including any food left in the fridge, and place bagged trash in the outdoor bins.
-Recycling does not need to be sorted, except for bottles and cans that are refundable in Maine. These can be set aside—feel free to return them to a local redemption center, or housekeeping will collect them.
-No Smoking: Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside or outside on the property.
-No Fireworks: Fireworks are strictly prohibited on the premises.
-Damage Policy: We understand accidents happen! Please report any damage right away so we can address it quickly and prevent further issues.
-Starter Pack: Ohana provides a starter supply of essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.). Guests are responsible for replenishing the following items as needed.
These items ARE NOT included...
-Spices & condiments
-Mosquito/tick repellent
-Personal hygiene items
-Sunscreen
-Beach towels
Grill Use: If a grill is available, please do not move it and keep it 5–10 feet from the house at all times. Kindly clean the grill after each use.
If propane runs out, please contact Ohana customer service for a replacement.
Private Wells & Septic Systems: Many of our homes use private wells and septic systems.
-Please: Flush only toilet paper—no wipes, feminine products, or other items.
-Avoid driving on the lawn, as pipes run underground.
-Be mindful of water usage. Excessive use (especially back-to-back showers or laundry) may temporarily drain the well or hot water. Give it time to replenish between uses.
