Fantastic location in Boothbay

The apartment was great - light and clean and met all of our needs. What set this stay apart was the location right in the heart of town and the helpfulness of the owner who gave us with great local advice. Wonderful trip and hope to come back again.

Great location owned by nice people

Crazy good location. Steep narow stairs. Heating was hard to use with no air. Very nice kitchen for cooking meals. Comes with all you need. Including spices from others before you. But you just will not find a better location.

Cozy in town bright studio!

Lovely light filled studio right in town with harbor views. Gracious hosts who provided a late check out to accommodate a work meeting. Wonderful stay!

Quick get away. The location was perfect walking distance to everything. Only thing that we noticed was the bed creaked loudly every time you moved but it was comfortable.

Location Location Location

Truly in the heart of the city and a walk to all the town hot spots. As this was our first trip to the east coast we learned that real estate is a premium, so be prepared to pay for parking (anywhere), apt stairs are narrow and shower is standing room only. Those are simple facts, but nothing that deters us from highly recommending this property. Patty and Mark are wonderful hosts and we can't wait to return!

Location! Location! Location!

This is my second time staying here. I love it! So cute & cozy. Walking distance to everything. My dogs come with me. Such a great dog friendly town. I will be back! Patty and her husband are excellent hosts! Thank you!

Location, location, location

If you are looking for a place in the hub of Boothbay Harbor, you can't miss with this spot. Located right downtown, you can walk to everything. Hosts are shopkeepers and available to answer questions, etc. They supplied us with restaurant recommendations. Check in and check out were very easy. We thought it might be loud at night, but Boothbay quiets down once the shops close in the evening. Downside is parking. There is no dedicated spot, so we had to park on the street or pay for parking lot spot, but we made it work. Overall, it was comfortable, clean and well equipped with everything we needed.

Cute Place

The studio is in a perfect location for walking everywhere. It is in the middle of the downtown harbor area with plenty of good restaurants, art galleries and shops within walking distance. It is is very clean and decorated beautifully and the owners were helpful and readily available. There are a couple of things to be aware of. Because the studio is in the heart of downtown, the parking is very limited and is not free. There are all day paid parking lots a few blocks away, but if you leave you may not get a spot when you return. When this happened, we drove around for 20 minutes and could not find a place to park. We finally drove to a restaurant a few miles out of town stayed a hour then returned when the crowds had left. There are renters in the apartment above and you can hear them walking around. This was not a big issue for us because it was mostly during the day.

Patty and Mark are extraordinary people who have created a superb, restful and quiet place to stay right in the center of town above their general store. The attention to detail, the thoughtfulness in amenities and furniture to maximize a nice size space that feels like a great little hotel suite for your stay. Our hosts went over and above the usual –their helpful suggestions and general hospitality are some of the best I have experienced. This is an outstanding place to stay in an amazing dog-friendly Maine port town. If one is looking for a relaxing restful stay in a wonderful place with amazingly friendly people, it would be hard to match and likely impossible to duplicate at this price point. The parks, views, and restaurants (which vary from expected port town fare to Micheline Star quality options, to one of the best lobster shacks I have visited on the East Coast) made this one of our best experiences with a vacation rental anywhere in the world. Parking was easy, convenient, and presented little expense. There is a location for drop-off and unpacking, then a parking lot less than a block away that can be managed from anywhere with a phone application. Boothbay parking is always available, works well to keep the town’s tourists to a level ideal for vacationers. Highly recommended, my wife and I rebooked for the following year before the current vacation even concluded. Outstanding experience. Place is just awesome!

Loved it!

Cute, clean rental for us and our 2 little pups. The host and hostess were readily available if needed (which they weren't :)) and offered some great suggestions for the area. The rental is right on the harbor, local to shops and restaurants. Highly recommended!

Repeat Visit! Does not disappoint!

Best little place to stay to enjoy the Boothbay area - stayed a few years ago and had been waiting to come back - Small but so comfortable and can’t beat the location! Patty has it decorated so cute! Loved all the beach accents. So awesome that it’s pet friendly too so my little Poppy could enjoy it too! Hope to visit again sometime!

Charming "Hallmark" like location

Staying right in the heart of the charming harbor town of Boothbay was like being in a Hallmark movie! Our hosts were wonderful. Instantly answered any questions. We walked right out our door to shopping ,restaurants and lighthouse and wildlife boat excursion. We had a rental car to spend one of our days at Acadia National Park. The views were stunning.

In The Center of is All

This sweet little apartment gave us access to restaurants, shopping, day trips to Mohegan Island, the Botanical Gardens and more. It was a great location for all we wanted to do and see.

Great Getaway!

The apartment, though small, was perfect as a homebase for day trips to other parts of Maine, as well as walking distance to shops and restaurants in Booth Bay Harbor.

Lovely stay in Boothbay Harbor

We really enjoyed our stay! The apartment overlooks one of the charming main streets in Boothbay Harbor and you can even see a bit of the ocean from one of the windows. We really enjoyed relaxing in our room and looking out at the doings in town below. So much fun! We brought our two (very) small pups and it was very comfortable for them in the apartment. One flight down, and we were right on the street in town. The town is very dog-friendly, so that’s a nice bonus. The apartment was very clean and tidy when we arrived. We felt comfortable right away. Parking is a little tricky in town, but the owners told us the best places to park, and then we were all set. We loved that the location is central to so many wonderful places to visit. We explored all the nearby peninsulas and towns and beaches…. All within a short drive. And Boothbay Harbor itself has lots of shops and restaurants, so you can easily spend a day close to “home”. (We really enjoyed kayaking right off the harbor. There’s a kayak rental place right in town). Overall we had such a lovely time! Loved the apartment, the owners are nice and very responsive (they own the convenience shop right downstairs from the apt). We’d love to come back again in the Fall!

Patty and Marc are great. Location is beyond convenient if your purpose is to come to boothbay harbor and enjoy the quaint wharf and shopping and the food. Starfish is sunny well appointed and clean. Enjoyed are stay.

Charming and convenient

Our first time in Boothbay Harbor and we so appreciated Patty and Mark's accessibility and high touch during our stay. The apartment is charming beyond our expectations. Size is mentioned in reviews but it was immaterial to us and our dog (15 lbs) as the apartment is decorated so well, laid out very efficiently and equipped so well that we never felt it was smaller. Boothbay is a lively town with lots to do and if you want more tranquil surroundings they are within a couple miles. We enjoyed walking the Land Trust Preserves around the town and visiting the stunning Botanical Garden nearby. The Thistle Inn for your special dinner before going home. East Boothbay is worth a trip to visit the General Store where you can get a good sandwich when you have eaten too much lobster. We will return !
